Can't wait to see it in person in 10 days or so!

clill 09-08-2018 04:20 PM

Roof is about 49” off the ground and we have 5” ground clearance.

Wow, that is low! The car looks fantastic!

Really enjoying this thread due to all the regular updates.

You're just going to hurt your back more - getting in and out of it.....

Seriously Charlie, while I don’t post much, we’ve met before.
You (and your idiot friend Mark) should be proud of your direction of a shop that showed it was up to the task of an incredible build.

JD

Thanks. Mark and I both love the work that Matt does. Mark is so comfortable using Matt. He trusts his work completely and has told me so more than once. During the build Matt asked me if he should do a basic floor or could he have fun. I said to have fun. The floor was killer to see as he “had fun”.. exceptional talent that cares about his work. I’m getting really excited. I haven’t seen it since it was stock.

clill 09-09-2018 05:42 PM

And that is “superDave” gassing up the car before he tuned it on the dyno..

JD67SS 09-09-2018 07:22 PM

It’s worthy of a proper gap and paint. Please consider that down the road...

JD

clill 09-09-2018 07:27 PM

LOL..In 3000 miles you won't recognize those wheels. The killer part about Hellfire is the Ceracoated rims that I never touch.

waynieZ 09-09-2018 08:39 PM

The car looks good Charlie! If it was any lower he'd need to lay down to fill it.

Car is awesome Charlie! Was great fun getting it dialed in. You might want to invest in some spare rear tires sooner rather than later as well.... anything below ~60-70 seems to overtax them easily.

Looks great Charlie! Have some fun with it on the road tour!

My late update on my 65 Riviera

WOW! Amazing! wow!

I’m building a 65 too. First time build in home garage…

After seeing the quality of work in this thread I’m not sure I can call mine a build anymore. Hack job is more fitting haha. You guys set the bar way too high now…good job tho…wow

CONGRATS on the outcome…she’s frigin beautiful!

Edit: I should probably change my username too…can I donate it to Charlie haha

What type of padding was used between the carpet & Dyna-Mat (i.e. foil backed foam or foil backed jute, foam or jute alone without foil?)

clill 09-10-2018 05:24 PM

No idea....

Just curious if you plan to have any sort of spare tire in the trunk

I’ve been on almost every Power Tour since 2001 and Goodguys tour etc . I have not needed a spare. Knock on wood

Ketzer 09-11-2018 06:56 AM

Gotta ask, if you could only have one car, which one would it be?

Looking good, man. That thing is going to surprise a lot of people!

thedugan 09-11-2018 08:08 PM

Car is beautiful. I thought the car was just painted but it’s the original paint which looks perfect. Even the interior looks mint. Car was well taken care of. All of the trunk space I assume will be nice to have on the road trips. Have you given the car a name yet?
