Looks great, I love the look of the dark headlights! You might double check me, but if I remember right from when I did my AAW kit, AAW made a big deal about installing their headlight switch, specifically with regard to the knob/shaft Assy. Not sure if that helps but might be worth an internet search to see about any special tricks. I don’t recall anything especially different when doing mine, but thought it was worth a mention. Your progress is amazing, keep up the good work!

Yeah it will tie in the front end great ... thanks! Winner Winner chicken dinner ... thanks Shane for the tip, went to Youtube and found an AAW video concerning their [chinese] made switches and it worked ... APITA It's good to hook up your battery and find out you wired the circuits correctly, no fuses blew and lights came on ... yeah. So I put the taillights in to make sure all was ok and BAM they worked also, hell yeah. The headlights are not adjusted of course but WOW the Dapper Lighting LED 7's are bright. couldn't be happier, well I could if I had an LS3 525 hp installed but that's another day, right? roll bar questions
Can you tell me the roll bar distance from the hoop to the roof cross braces, please my welder seems to want to weld on my car, so I have a list of things for him, hehehehe,
Great updates, Ive actually been working on my car, |
Nice job!
It's always a plus when you don't see smoke or smell anything funny! |

It's good to get some quality time with the car ... as far as the roll bar question see attached picture, the top bar is not under the cross brace cuz the angle I installed the bar. But, to answer your question the top bar is 1.75" from the center roof brace to the top of the bar and closer to 1.5" out to the down/ trunk bar. https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img924/2499/aVufEU.jpg Quote:
Thanks, and being trained in electronics in the Navy I knew I dun it right :thumbsup: |
filing the locks?
"installed my OEM door handles and measured the lock cylinder [AMD skins] for filing,"
yo mean you had to file the holes to get the lock cylinder to fit correctly? |
Seriously???
Quote:
Can't tell if you are being sarcastic or for real :action-smiley-027: Yes the slots for the lock cylinder [AMD skins] were not the same as the lock, and this can come back to kick you hard if you didn't test fit the lock. |
