This car is stupid, sick, insane, bananas, ridiculous, crazy, off the chain and all other stuff you can think of. :wow: :wow:

Rybar 10-23-2011 09:14 PM

Jason that does look insanely sick on the ground.

coolwelder62 10-23-2011 09:46 PM

Can't say anything else that hasn't already been said! The attention to detail, execution, fitment, etc is as good as it gets! Still can't believe this is your first attempt at a car like this. Mad skills!! So, is it still going black? What about the underside color?

Vince@Meanstreets 10-23-2011 11:23 PM

GOOD GAUD YALL!!! Looks killer no front sheet metal and all.

Big-Head 10-23-2011 11:42 PM

Wow, beautiful build Jason! Really happy for you man.

I agree, and not because it doesn't look good. I just want to see you make something else. I've said it before. I don't know whether your build motivates me to raise my skill level or just hang up the tools and close the door on the garage. :hail: Can't wait to see more Jason.

Going to get front sheetmetal on and then the rear diffusor and exhaust tips.

Nothing against Kyle @DS, but that sway bar decal should be replaced with a War decal. I'd gladly make a die cut and mail it to you n/c.

Funny I actually forgot to take the sticker off. Thanks Sieg I might take you up on that offer.

Yeah still black, is there really any other color? I don't no or have thought about the rest of the finishes yet. Maybe Sema will give me some insight.

Pick a font, color, and size. It's the least I can do considering inspiration and awe your project has brought to numerous Lat-G members.

There is no way this car will not get finished. You do not know Jason at all if you think this. Unless the POS state of california finally breaks off into the pacific ocean and this car as well as the shop falls in with it, WAR will get finished.

Steel spoilers are GAY

michael6372 10-24-2011 06:44 PM

Just read the entire 64 pages. Words cannot describe how good the craftsmanship in this build is! If this is your first time doing this, you have an unbelievable talent! Where did you learn to fabricate? I would give an arm and a leg to be able to do the things you are doing!! I would love to learn how to do the type of builds/fabrication that's being done by yourself and others on this site.

Congrats to you on building a dream car and for having a great talent to do so yourself!!

Michael

Man Jason, 5000 plus views in 3 days. Todd must be scared.

syborg tt 10-25-2011 09:58 AM

This by far has to be the most impressive build ever posted on this site.

Scott - you need to add Build of the month (similar to Member Feature)

DFRESH 10-25-2011 09:02 PM

On the ground--man that's gotta feel so good--all that work is paying off. The stance of it in the rear looks amazing--with that big tire---That's Gold Jason--Gold. LOL. So, will we see you at Pleasanton in June? On the Auto Cross? I've tightened up my gaps, so we can park next to each other--I'm ok with that.

Hey Jason,

This is going back a while I know but do you happen to know the year these latches are? Or better yet are they cable type for the door handles? If they are cable did you have any issues connecting the cable to the outer door handle? I am sure it would not be too hard to fab up an adapter (especially for you!) just checking.

Thanks!

Chris

Chris, There 08's so any of the last generation ones would be the same I would assume. They do have cables for the interior and exterior but also looks like they can be electrically driven. Not sure yet, just got the harness and getting into that now. Maybe someone on here works as a Lexus tech and would know. It's not hard to adapt to the stock handle.

ccm399 11-06-2011 10:05 AM

Thanks Jason.

I figured fabbing up something to adapt the cables to the old style would not be too hard. I found that the Lexus and Toyota latches seem to be interchangeable on certain years... Makes sense but it sure seem the Toyota stuff is cheaper.

I see where some of the very new stuff seems to be electric only, a little scary I guess. I don't know I just like the idea of being able to open the door without power.... Hmm, so did I mention I was going to be shaving my door locks?

Thanks for the quick reply.

Chris

Jason it was great to meet up with you this week. ScottM.

mlcurl 11-07-2011 04:33 PM

This is pathetic. The damn Bump stops look nicer than anything on my car! I just bought a new one to start as a project and after reading this thread I should just sell it again.

This has to be one of the finest examples of craftsmanship ever...on anything.

I completely agree! Jason's work has motivated me to get to work on my car....... But, then I see the quality of my work, compared to his, and I just wanna cover it back up and go back inside and watch TV!

LOL. Can you imagine bringing your car to an event, and then in rolls Jason with this one and puts it right next yours? June, Pleasanton--I'm hoping it doesn't happen to me.

Jason has motivated me to.... uh.... <thinking>..... uh...... <gears clanking>..... uh..... have someone else build me a car.... that way I can blame them for it not looking nearly as kool!

SOB should be a paid spokesman for Mittler Brothers bead rollers....

Jason -- was fun at SEMA buddy! Good to see you again.

jr4452 11-08-2011 08:46 AM
