Wow that's whole lot of truck right there! Very nice, now you can come to the Midwest and play here in the summer

Good gawd..... what are you doing up at 5:30 AM?

I figure if I go between the buildings and make a real nice - slow - turn I can come in the back door and pull forward just shy of the front door... and we can wash it and service it inside in the shade. What do you think? That'll save me $60 at that truck wash in Corning.

And then Charley can whip out his floor washer and clean up the debris. Sounds like a plan!

If you came over to help -- you and Charley could get all the high part while I save your backs by washing all the stuff below 4' !!

Will it fit in front of your house in case Charley won't let me park at his?

Not sure if you read it or not - but my Mustang motor dropped a lash cap - so it's sitting at Dick McGees Motorsports @ Sonoma Raceway -- while they pull the motor and get it over to Tony Odo there in your town. Hopefully there's not too much damage other than the end of the valve that got beat to poo.... Dang Charley had to have Titanium valves and I know that at least one will need replacing.

The "plan" is to do just that! Expand my circle of events etc.... there are so many that I'd like to do at least once. With this "rig" I can move about in relative comfort -- have a couple cars to mess with and that way I can incorporate a track event with a hot rod show or whatever...

I'm really looking forward to it!

Of cousre it will, we will always make room for you.

I had read that about the mustang..that sucks. I always wondered what kind of work they did at TOE Performance there in my home town. Looks like good work. I had gone to talk with them many yeras ago, and was kinda blown off, I just never went back.

Good luck with it, and if you need anything let me know.

Atleast white will stay cleaner longer than Black.
Man that is a big truck. I've seen what you had to do just to clean the windshield on the SuperDuty.

Thanks Mike! I think TOE builds one heck of a motor -- but I think they're more race engine than street performance.... which may be why you got the not so hot response.

I appreciate the volunteer for assistance should I need it - a good place to tap for some CASH is always welcome... and this engine could get pretty expensive! So be prepared. :unibrow:

Charley can reach to the middle with no assistance -- So I'll get the windows done when I'm running past his place. If he's not home - I know Jody also does a decent job and is taller than Charley. :D

I'll cop to the moron part!

Actually though - the truck is a Freighliner M2 112 chassis.... so is way bigger than a pickup but quite a bit smaller than a class 8 truck. It's MAYBE 2/3rds the size.

GregWeld 09-06-2012 09:38 PM

I guess I need to learn more about my truck --- it IS a Class 8 truck.... I had earlier said it wasn't... Thinking that only the "big boys" were Class 8's.

Every one that has came to the shop with one of those pulling there cars Loves them. Easy to drive, and pull great. I have friends that use them to pull their dirt cars

DBasher 09-07-2012 09:15 AM

Lookin good, you've got to be getting excited! Is it the end of September when everything is done and ready for pick up?

Was the that your lil R8 at Divers last night?

Hopefully being out of state may let you skip this, but I'm not sure. The permit is cheap, but not having it if it's needed and getting caught is not. :faint:

I asked a commercial guy at work, anything over 10,000lbs GVW needs a class A and a DOT number, its federal law.

This combo is totally worth getting a class A for, I love it!

68 stang 09-07-2012 06:42 PM

I do not know about anything over 10 000 lbs needing a dot number. That means if am driving a f-350 with a car trailer I would need a dot number. I have not been pulled over for that yet. Or do you mean just the tractor?

GregWeld 09-07-2012 08:26 PM

Forget all that. With living quarters it's registered as an RV.

Define Cowboy bling.....

GregWeld 09-27-2012 02:45 PM

I think what I don't like is the grill and lights in the bumper... I think if that was whited out it wouldn't look like such an add-on.

You're right Charlie... somebody might volunteer to photoshop it for me.
