I have had digital dashes and like them. I used Dakota Digital in the Blazer and the Riv. They look great and work well. Also their cruise control works well also. I wish it did not have so many modules but that is what makes it flexible Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

How did you set up your battery connections? Does your ground wire end back there or head up front?
Thank you. |
Quote:
I’ve alway welded in a lug in the back of the car to ground to. I know all the instructions say ground to the block, but I have never had an issue. I have been adding a battery disconnect in the trunk on the negative side of the battery. Makes it easy to kill the power. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
why are some wires twisted?
|
Those are probably communication wires for the BIMs and twisting cuts down on interference.

Yes the CAN wires, wheel speed wires and temp sensors wire are twisted pairs. It cuts down on interference. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Mark,
You must have a fortune wrapped up in ARP fasteners, I see them EVVVVERYWHERE....lol. Another awesome Stielow build. Appreciate you sharing the build with us. BB |
Question on mufflers ..........
Hello Mark,
Wow is all I can say. Another gorgeous build! Quick questions on the mufflers you've settled on. I am now officially middle aged, and appreciate the walk softly / carry a big stick. Quiet is the goal, and not too concerned about lost HP....... What are you running, do the cats cut dB as well, and any resonators? Going to re-muffle mine soon, and would like some options. Thanks! |
Quote:
Thanks. I don’t care for loud cars anymore either. This car has some prototype hooker Blackheart mufflers that I hope are quiet enough. If not we will add resonators. I’ll let everybody on lateral G know if these are quite enough. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Quote:
Will these be quieter than that? I think you had Borla ProXS on that car at the time? |
Quote:
Yes it should be a little quieter than that. Mark Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Window moldings match the wheels? Ceracote or powercoated to match?

The dash connector is a 40 way connector to allow the dash to be easier to remove. I’ll post more photos later today. You can buy them from Mouser and it uses GT150 and GT280 terminals

Brake cooling ducts. We routed the air into the DSE hydro formed frame rail for the brake cooling. We did a similar thing on Hellfire.

No I went with the street one. I got it from Summit. My DYAD always on back order for 9 months. I decided to try the Tilton.
The floater plate is strapped like the OE style clutch’s. I hope this stops the floater plate from rattling. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...b0406c60d9.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...60e8e64ab1.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...a62226d0ca.jpg |
Mark,
Does the CF DYAD rattle? |
Quote:
The older ones did. The last one I put into Gunner was quite for about a year then rattled a little. Love the DYAD. It shifts great and it well made. When I assembled the engine to the transmission they were on back order. So called Summit and had this clutch in 3 days. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
