First off I finally got my own welder, Miller 180 with some extras, used 5 times. $900
http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3.../053009021.jpg Little update... been working on it here and there, but trying to save my money so I can order the rest of my ART stuff. Well you all know I've been waiting for a set of stock tubs, and well I got some and used about 4.5" of them haha, just so I could mimic the dimple the same. Then I added a filler and side piece and what I have is a "stock looking" tub widened 6" http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3.../053009016.jpg http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3.../053009018.jpg http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3.../053009019.jpg http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3.../053009020.jpg |
I was asked for pictures of the filled and redrilled axle ends, and resplines, so here you go
http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3.../053009023.jpg http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3.../053009029.jpg Another thing I noticed, going to have change out the studs Moser used, or find a 3/16" nylock nut since on the McGaughys spindles, the upper bolt is now a stud, it's going to hit the wheel stud otherwise. You can see how close they are on the bottom http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3.../053009024.jpg Picked up a 03 Console, $100 http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3.../053009025.jpg Finally, my corners. I felt they matched my Xenarcs pretty well, I plan to order a set of clear corners and take the lense with a clear reflector and install that lens on this housing. Depo makes these corners, if anyone is wondering. http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3.../053009030.jpg |
Keep up the great work Nick!
She's coming along.  |
Being a owner of a New body style 99 GMC, I think this is gonna be one bad mother ****er thats for sure.
I like the work done so far not massively modded to the point where it looks stupid like a lot of the trucks in truckin. This truck is a wolf in sheep's clothing. I can wait to see this truck done. Quote:

Well figured I'd share a couple pics...
Got the driver side done, it's "pretty" smooth, enough for a skim coat of rage and then line-x http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3.../061609002.jpg http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3.../061609003.jpg http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3.../061609004.jpg Then the passenger side http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3.../061609001.jpg http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3.../061609006.jpg |
http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3.../061609008.jpg
I ended up finishing it, then started on the stake pockets, shaved. http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3.../061609021.jpg http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3.../061609022.jpg http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3.../061609023.jpg http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3.../061609015.jpg |
http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3.../061609018.jpg
http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3.../061609020.jpg http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3.../061609024.jpg Oh and I picked up a HD front end for under $300, hood, grill and cap. Pretty sweet deal, so I snagged it. http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3.../061609014.jpg |
