I know I’ve been dark for a while but we’ve been busy on the circuit with the Bird. We participated in the Motor State Challenge this summer and it was the first time on the track for the car. Good shake-down exercise and a faulty thermostat foiled us! We had fun though and made some changes.

We hooked up with the Hot Rod Power Tour in Muskegon and won the dyne competition. The car took “Best of Show” at the Del Shannon Classic here in MI – a very large show for this state. We entered, but did not win, SMOY in Columbus at the Goodguys event, but had a blast on the autocross track and meeting a bunch of people.

The car was featured in Popular Hot Rodding’s September issue with a 6 page spread (see link below). It also appeared in the Oct. and Nov. issues for autocross events. It was seen on Hot Rod TV and the current issue of the Goodguys Gazette. We just had a request to run an article in a French publication – I will keep you posted on this.

To top it all off we received the invite to the Optima Challenge following SEMA next month. We will be loading up on Thurs. and heading to Vegas. The Willy Wonka Ticket is in hand!
