The exhaust looks great.

Cris, I'll be over there soon---but wanted to ask---those DSE headers, do they actually stay above the frame rail when looking at the car from the side? (Meaning they don't actually hang below it). I know there isn't a lot of room there, but it appears from the pics that they are at least even with the frame rail. Are you using the half inch high body mounts on this car?

I was wondering the same thing.

(Chris, hope you don't mind me throwing an answer out here. No top secrect stuff!)

I was at the shop yesterday. Looking parallel at the car you cannot see the exhaust pipes below the frame rails, which is pretty amazing considering how low the car sits. Chris'll have to share other challenges/mods to make this happen.

It's an amazing build and a great shop (duh). For any of you that have not seen Chris' fat bottom cars in person, let me tell you they are sexy. Pictures just can't capture it; not too much that you look at it and say 'hot rod mods', and not too little that you don't notice. They're really just right, and Blue Ballz sits perfect!

Doug/Kevin- Here are some pics of the exhaust to chassis.. As you can see we maintained all exhaust system underneth the frame rails with 3" inch pipe.. The DSE headers are a work of art!! They very nice.. You will have to run their engine mounts.. I used my own sub-frame bushings which drape the body over the sub about 1/2 an inch.. We are running this 68 as low as possible :D

Hey Chris, that is so cool! Next time you talk to the folks over at DSE ask for a discount on your next purchase for selling some of their headers and engine mounts.

Thanks Cris!!!! That's encouraging as I was thinking I would have to run mid length headers on the car so that the collectors wouldn't be lower than the frame rail. Can't believe how well those DSE headers fit up to the floor and how great the exhaust fits overall. I would hate to give up the power the full length headers will give over the mids. However, the $2200 tag on the headers is a bit of a deterrent---but can't argue with fit and finish on those things. I remember seeing them at your shop---they are definitely nice pieces for sure. Thanks again bro--see you--probably Tues--will keep you posted.

Doug
