Here are some more pictures of the recent paint. Pulled the car out of the booth and took the tape off. Starting to look very sharp.

That has to be a nice sense of accomplishment!
Car is looking very good keep the pedal down! |
Just wrapped up the hood and cowl today. Extended the stripes from the hood to the cowl took a lot of time and attention to detail, but I think it came out pretty well. Took a couple of quick pictures inside the paint booth, but the fluorescent lights messed with the camera color a little bit. I'll get some better pictures soon.

The stripe work on this car is great. Your attention to detail is really paying off in this area. The color choices are nice as well.

Hey ya'll,
Been working on the dash. The goal was to match up the indentations from the console and let them flow up into the dash, as if it was made like that from the factory. Also installing a double DIN audio/navigation system from Alpine. Using the circle-shaped billet vents, so that all the air vents are the same shape throughout the car, as opposed to the ugly rectangle air vent in the center dash. I really think the combination of the console and dash bring the car together. You can see the side ridges from the console flow up into the dash on both sides. http://i.imgur.com/bCagAa2h.jpg http://i.imgur.com/jor2MCph.jpg http://i.imgur.com/r0sLfwMh.jpg http://i.imgur.com/yLdLuKFh.jpg http://i.imgur.com/7iF2F30h.jpg Have some more body work to do to smooth things out. Also plan on installing a Dakota Digital AC control unit under the push-button start. That way everything is symmetric and in place, nice and neat. |
