I have an Aeromotive referance regulator and a Weldon pump controller .
I have a question. I have an MSD 6A , will the new Digital 6A give me any advantage?

Quick answer -- not that I can think of.

BUT -- there's always a big butt somewhere right? The MSD can wreck havoc on your EFI if done incorrectly!

Make certain that there are no shared wire runs -- and that the MSD and ECU are AT LEAST 2 feet apart.

MSD boxes are very powerful and if you want all manor of problems and weird issues just fail to heed the warnings.

Hi Wayne. Ive been going through your thread and I'm in awe. I don't know how you could be more thorough than this. Your car is unbelievable! Hope you're feeling better.

windycitychev 06-17-2013 09:14 AM

BAD AZZ build kee your spirits up and I was once in that same position and know the horrible feeling. But being able to pick yourself up and keep going with your dream build is key and keep that same spirit up and dont look back. Keep the pics coming brother god bless

waynieZ 06-17-2013 12:37 PM

Thanks MX145, windycitychev

Went over to my buddy's house , the engine got washed down and painted Chevy Orange with Eastwood's ceramic engine paint with hardener. It looks like its still wet. Smooth finish, its supposed to be more chemical resistant with the hardener. The base pan is a Milodon power pan for the stroker. When my friend washed the motor the coating on the pan came off with the rinse so its all orange now.
Tomorrow I'm going up there with the intake if I remember I'll take a couple of pictures maybe it will motivate me to suck it up and get moving.

Waynie I hope you get feeling better and get back to work on that nice car of yours.

I'm curious to see how the ceramic paint works out for you. I would like to do something similar on my engine.

Hey Wayne, been waiting for an update on your build, glad to hear your working on the car. Get some pics of that power plant, especially with that big intake and throttle body up there.

'The Camaro Handbook' advises owners to finish rebuilding the 1969 model year Camaro in their possession before age 69.

Your ride is looking great so far. Maybe someday my chevelle will get that treatment, or maybe I will just have to dream about. Either way Awesome Build!

How do you like the plate

tones2SS 06-25-2013 05:34 PM

Nice to see the updates on the motor Wayne. You must be super busy now between the grand daughter and trying to finish the car.
I do like the license plate.

MX145 06-25-2013 09:11 PM

Looking forward to seeing that motor sitting in the engine bay!

waynieZ 06-25-2013 09:14 PM

Me too!

Rick D 06-26-2013 06:57 AM

Come on Waynie, lets get it done!!! :poke:

waynieZ 07-23-2013 09:31 PM

Sorry for the delay Family in from Fl.
We got the Spec 3+ clutch and the bell housing for my 6 spd all bolted up. I painted the Bell and trans will get the same color. I wanted the frozen gray like Al's son used on his beautiful Gen 5 Camaro motor but I dropped the ball and had to get something else. It should look good.
I used my $10 flip phone to take the pictures. I spaced out the camera.

Good to see the update Wayne!

waynieZ 07-30-2013 06:35 PM

A couple of small updates. The engine is finally home in my garage for the fist time. This is the closest the car and motor have been to each other.
http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w...psd57b90a4.jpg

I spent 2 days in the garage cleaning and prepping the Trans for paint.
I have a new appreciation for Al Morenos' son's patients.

http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w...pse50e0102.jpg

http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w...pseb4fbf5c.jpg

Now all I have to do is rewash it and figure how to get paint evenly in all those little squares.:confused18:

tubbed69 07-30-2013 07:09 PM

Glad to see you making progress Wayne, looks good,be running before you know it:peepwall:

tones2SS 07-31-2013 05:42 PM
