To say it is looking good is an understatement, I can't wait to see this thing at GNRS.
Hopefully the hood will be closed :lmao:  |

I was going to stick an FE motor in it -- you know -- the old Ford in a Ford thing -- but I couldn't find any semi truck dropped front axles rated at 10,000 lbs. |

Your pedal kit is shinier than mine. http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/l...psbee48189.jpg |
That Is Looking Bad Ass!!!
|
Its coming together so nice, and the paint is gorgeous! I'm happy for you Greg.
|
Greg..........................Absolutely Freak'in "AWSUM"...........
Ken |
Moving along quickly. You will be driving it in no time congrats buddy. Car looks awesome
|
... like a Swiss watch.
|
Absolutely awesome job Greg, paint and interiors colors are a great combination and engine color really fits the car, great job:king:
|
I'm loving the color Greggo. :hail: :hail:

Thanks Wayne! Now get out in the garage and get cranking on yours! Quote:
Thanks Ken! Quote:
Brizio just cranks 'em out… I just wish I'd have had him build the '32! Live and learn. Quote:
This is the Timex of hot rods. Nothing new here. Just tried and true parts and colors. Just exactly what I wanted. LOL Quote:
Thanks buddy! The paint is better in person… that color is so hard to capture with an iPhone… I'm not building a show car - and GNRS will be it's first and only - after that it's just a driver and all that fancy paint will be rock chipped and bug splattered - but it's fun "while it lasted"! HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA |
Quote:
Thanks Marcus! It's so easy when all a guy has to do is copy someone else! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA |
This is going to be a really nice car. Good job on the choices. Is the interior color going to be red?
|
Quote:
Seriously?? Did you see the photo of the leather sample in my latest picture post???? |
Looking good Greg. Nice choice of color for the drive train, not that anyone will see it with hood always being closed.
|
Greg the car is amazing on many levels. I absolutely love it. It's sure to be a lot of fun. Looking forward to seeing it in person.
|
Here's a pic with a REAL camera…. that really shows the "red" leather - which isn't really RED like lipstick red - - it's more a subdued "off red"…. as you compare it to the red tool box or jackstands.
http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...o/file-141.jpg |
Again - using my Nikon instead of an iPhone…. shows the color of the motor/trans.
http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...o/file-142.jpg |
Here's an interesting shot ----- for you camera bugs ----- TOP ONE WITH A FLASH ----- Second version below is the TRUE color without a flash…. remember that when you're shooting cars and you're trying to get the color to look like what it is that you see with your eye vs what the camera turns it into!
WITH FLASH -- HORRIBLE COLOR!! http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...o/file-143.jpg WITHOUT FLASH --- TRUE COLOR! http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...o/file-144.jpg |
And for you "handling" PT types ---- ya just gotta love a drilled and dropped straight axle for the ultimate in "lack of adjustability"!!! HAHAHAHAHAAHAHA
http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...o/file-145.jpg |
But in true PT style…. We have the dual master cylinder with balance bar!!!!
HA!! http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...o/file-146.jpg |
Good pics Greg, you did a good job of showing the true color and I really like it:thumbsup:
|
GAWD THESE CARS ARE SIMPLE!!!!
EEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAA…….. http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...o/file-147.jpg |
Looks phenomenal... I guess you get what you pay for once in a while with cars.
|
Looks good. That red interior color might be called salsa.
|
The car is definitely worthy of Nikon imaging.
Really like the engine paint - by chance do you know product and color used on the engine? |
Quote:
Sure! It's silver paint. |
Quote:
Yep! This car will definitely be worth every bit of $50K when I go to resell it. Quote:
It's actually called BERKSHIRE -- but I'm sure that's just the name the particular supplier gives it. It might be called Salsa in Bakersfield… It's not nearly as RED as the photo makes it out to be - it's more "old fashioned" reddish… more subdued than it looks. I took 50 photos trying to capture the color and for the most part I was a complete failure. |
Love it Greg, it's just so simple that's what makes its sooooooo bad azz!!!
|
Quote:
Thanks Rick. I'm just trying to correct all the deficiencies of the '32…. which has no top and no windows… no heat and no A/C… which is "fun" for a little while. A very little while. This car should run flawlessly with the simple factory LS motor and trans combo -- and having a top and windows with some heat or A/C will be a major plus on an actual trip - of which this car will make many! |
:hail:
Beautiful car Greg! |
Quote:
Thanks Bryan! You get a certain level of coolness after eating at The Salt Lick… and it's starting to show in my builds! |
Quote:
The LS engine looks good in there to... clean and simple. It might be nice to relocate the coils on this one just to keep that clean look... just a thought :) http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...o/file-135.jpg |
Quote:
Thanks Dale… maybe (just a thought - LOL) I'll just have some Billet Specialties LS valve covers that hide the coils completely (and they're vented too!) rather than go to all the trouble to relocate them. Maybe exactly like these!! LOL http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...io/file-47.jpg |
Can I fit in it, 'cause I definitely want a ride. :hello:
|
Greg,
Are you going to change the intake? |
Quote:
If CHARLEY can fit on a CrazyCart -- then you sure as hell ought to fit in a '33 Ford…. http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...os/file-48.jpg |
GW
Maybe you should let me borrow it for a while to try and overcome my dislike of LS motors   |
Quote:
Nope -- just going to paint it body color and change the fuel rails out to some polished Aeromotive billet versions. |
