A true work of Art !!!!!

clill 09-14-2018 09:02 AM

Can’t thank Matt enough for getting this thing knocked out in time to take it on the tour. Has a total of about 50 miles on it so I fully expect some kind of bugs.:clap:

kwhizz 09-14-2018 09:04 AM

Hopefully the bugs will all be on the Windshield......LOL

kwhizz 09-14-2018 09:06 AM

If my car gets parked under yours, I don't think I'll have to worry about oil dripping on it...... LOL

clill 09-14-2018 09:19 AM

Actually you do..tiny seepage from trans gasket and a fitting on trans but ran out of time.

ADY 09-14-2018 09:37 AM

With an undercarriage that nice sure hope you don't hit a patch of road getting new oil and gravel. I got stuck for 6 miles on a freshly oiled road on my way up to Olympic National Park and took hours cleaning the tar off the 1936 Airstream we were pulling.

Sorry if I missed it, but what was the final tune numbers on the dyno?

DOOM 09-14-2018 10:02 AM

Charley I gotta say that's pretty badazz!!!!!! You gonna have it at MCACN this year?

Here’s an option when that time comes. If u are planning to stick to the walnut wood inserts this guy has quality laser-cut replacement door & console pieces in two color options. Light colored gold/yellowish or the dark walnut brown. I just bought the dark brown ones & they look great!

Your car looks amazing! I’d love to talk to u for some pointers.

Printer jammed and don't have a dyno sheet yet but Matt said 700 hp at wheels. Running less boost than Hellfire as I recall.

gofastwclass 09-14-2018 10:27 AM

That should get the groceries. :D

Yes, and you'll definitely be home before th ice cream melts!

vdrivinmike 09-18-2018 03:39 PM

This is pretty much my dream car.

Thank you for building it!!

syborg tt 09-18-2018 06:17 PM

What I like the most about this build is that it's not over built. It's built with a purpose and the everything is there for a reason and that is what makes this car the perfect build.

Looking forward to seeing this car at Sema.

out2kayak 09-19-2018 06:02 PM

Very nice!

Car has about 300 miles on it now.Hauls ass. Fun to drive but trying to corner with stock seats gets interesting. Gonna have to address that.

More details please (after the tour of course) about you initial impressions of the car... please answer with your honest impressions if you would have done anything different than what was done.
I ask not to criticize or second guess, but only to learn

Also wondering what your idiot friend Stielow’s comments are (if you let him drive it, lol!)

Thanks in advance.

JD

jarhead 09-20-2018 05:26 PM

clill 09-20-2018 07:22 PM

I can remember as a kid riding in my uncles, now my dads, 64 Plymouth Sport Fury sliding all over the back seat as they cornered under power. A lot of fun when you don’t have to worry about controlling the car, lol.

If that’s the only problem with the Rivi I’d say you’re winning!

clill 09-21-2018 07:58 PM

Have about 450 miles on it now ? 14.6 mpg today. I’m lovin it.

WSSix 09-22-2018 06:16 AM

That's fantastic, Charlie! Glad your car is working out great, as well.

I'm thinking AMG or M seats might fit right at home in the car and provide better support.

Ok, I’ll recal it to keep bypass open, limit blade opening to ~30%, shift earlier, and lockup converter in all gears to get 20mpg for you...... I did not realize hypermiling was the goal....

Or leave it in it’s current tire-frying mode and you can have so much more fun!

Dave
