Yep, I am still playing with the Trans Coolant Lines ( 10-24-22 )
I found these clamps on Amazon and they do a great job securing the lines.
http://www.garagescene.net/_data/i/u...86effb4-me.jpg Checking for clearance under the upper control arm and there is plenty. http://www.garagescene.net/_data/i/u...98ac760-me.jpg http://www.garagescene.net/_data/i/u...e45d523-me.jpg Yep, I cut the wrong length of the heat sleeve when I made my last cut so now I have to order more. http://www.garagescene.net/_data/i/u...8df6f2a-me.jpg So, I jumped over to the battery wires as I needed to do something a little different and then I called it a night. http://www.garagescene.net/_data/i/u...cb11bee-me.jpg |

Hi Jody, These are the one's I ordered for my -6 Hose https://www.amazon.com/6AN-Hose-Sepa..._rp_111_i&th=1 |

At least the ones I ordered were sized that way. If you're using ptfe braided lines the o.d. will be much smaller so maybe their sizing works. I was trying them on a couple of standard rubber lined braided lines. |

You've set the wiring standard pretty high for the rest of us with your meticulous detail to wiring. I too went overboard with shielding wires and fluid lines around the headers and areas that give off heat, on my starter to battery cable and alternator cable I added the spark plug protector boots for an extra added measure of protection, inverted them to take out the ring. Attachment 77116 On another note just wondering what single fan you're using? Is it for less fan/rad depth, less air intake tube interference? Keep up the great work! |
Intake Manifold Fittings ( 10-30-21 )
Planning ahead before I run over to Ace Hardware for some fittings as the one's that are supplied are useless.
http://www.garagescene.net/_data/i/u...f986f09-me.png So the Earl fitting that I happened to have looked like it was going to work. However, It did not as it hit the valley cover. http://www.garagescene.net/_data/i/u...31603b5-me.jpg So I found my Mike Norris Catch can and I used these fitting to start mocking up the fittings I needed. http://www.garagescene.net/_data/i/u...5d709d6-me.jpg After a quick trip to Ace I think I have the fittings I need. http://www.garagescene.net/_data/i/u...ae8f264-me.jpg Only at Ace can you find a 1/8" Hose Barb (trust me I looked everyone else) http://www.garagescene.net/_data/i/u...6292cf4-me.jpg First Mock Up http://www.garagescene.net/_data/i/u...c5ef8b8-me.jpg http://www.garagescene.net/_data/i/u...c61c323-me.jpg http://www.garagescene.net/_data/i/u...99c760b-me.jpg |
