Stick with the carb and get to the dual
quads as soon as you can.. Gas Mileage??
are you guys kidding me..Just make sure the
tank is big enough.. The guy with the C-10 truck
approx 850 hp at Optima was worried about running
out of gas on the cruise.. 3 miles per gallon and I thought
my 11mpg babying it and 5 on the track were bad

How far is the motor set back now??
also can you still get the valve covers off?? looking close

My firechicken valve covers barely clear the braces

Mac engined go-kart... both carbs fed to the same manifold
port.. looked cool but it didn't make any sense.. wish I had

My 1965 GT350R Clone had no head liner or flooring,
Etc. Thunderhill on a 100 plus day would cook you
The floors on a hot day would almost melt your shoes
Some Norcal Shelby boys had some lightweight liners
scewed to the floor. Weight savings sometimes takes its
toll on the comfort zone

That car was light and fast but white with blue stripes
matched most at the track so I finally sold it

Bob We moved the motor back 7.5" from where RS had it. Since I wanted to fit myself in the car, as part of the exercise in determining where to place the motor, I just asked RS to mount the motor without cutting the firewall. CA to IL isn't a trip I have time or $$ to be making on a regular basis. My bellhousing nip also let me put the motor lower than they did. They did a really nice job with the parameters I left them with.

Good eye on the VCs. Right now they are too close to the cowl. But after looking it over from the inside yesterday I have a plan to gain enough clearance to remove the covers in the car and still have enough grade to drain any water that would make it into the cowl in a rain storm.


I have a 22 gal ATL Fuel cell. On E85 I should get a cruising range of about 75 mi :( Oh well it's all about compromise. :D

I'm sure I'll get even more range out of the duals.:lmao:
