There are plenty of manufacturers that make "build them yourself" plug wires, where you just crimp the ends on. Taylor and MSD come to mind, but I dont know if they make kits for the mod motor. Worst case is you'd have to buy a stock application set and cut them down (or buy some extra wire in a reel and make them longer).

Dam I've cut this wire three times and it's still to short? Yes they make cut to size wires for this engine, mine were all under 20" so I just made the stock set shorter (pain in the ass), but less costly. Laying this all out took longer because it is not the standard coil wiring.

Because my car has no heater option, none of these kits work for me, so guess what I did?
Duh! I made my own

correct me if i am wrong, but it was my understanding that this issue only existed on C heads?

i was linked to this build via a local (in upstate ny) automotive forum i frequent. i have shown it to no less than a dozen people. simply incredible. i am proud to have internet access to this project, i can only imagine how proud you must be for being responsible for its conception and progress at such a high level of precision and attention to detail.

From my understanding, All modular based engine suffer from inadequate coolant flow from whichever head is not feeding the heater core. The problems get ugly when you add extra heat from blowers, turbos, or NOS. I did it as safety aid because of the high engine compartment heat cars like mine create. Better safe than sorry.

You say you were directed to this build from another site. WOW I'm starting to wonder how many people have found and posted links to this thread or the twin on www.clubcobra.com. New request ( How many times have you seen this thread posted on other forms and/or posted links your self?) Am I turning into some Internet legend ( God I hope not I'm just a guy building a car ).
Thanks,
Patrick

Makin a Filter

Hey long time no post,
Well the parts for my remote filter finally showed up ( I think they had to mine the aluminum). Nice parts, went with some new stuff from Derale they're cast but beefy with SAE oring ports. Lines I made those up at work, I work for a national hydraulics manufacturer / distributor so I get a good discount but I have to do the work.

Wow!

That is an AMAZING build! I thought I was doing something because we took apart a complete car, cleaned it and painted the parts and put it back together. Your project blows my mind. I can't wait to see how it turns out. :D
