Thanks for the warning.... I'll remember to bring plenty of ammo. |
So I know we "spar" about passing and lap times and on and on... it's all good fun.
The thing I think about when everyone on here is spending big dough to have huge horsey power - and the latest in fat tires... and the most awesome clutch in the history of the universe.... is --- I bought this Lotus for 60 grand... and spent another 10 or so grand on getting it race worthy... so about 1/3rd to a half of what building a Camaro runs these days... and other than change oil between events all you do to drive this car is set the tire pressures. Yes -- there's some passing going on in this short video. This little POS car makes it appear as though the others in the group are applying brakes on the straights...LOL The first 'Vette is a ZR1 that is tracked regularly and you've seen it fly by the Mustang in other videos. |
........and it uses 8-9 gallons of 92 octane for the entire day.

Nice driving Greg!... looks like car and driver are getting dialed in

Great pics Sieg. I knew there had to be a reason you were invited.

FINALLY SOMEONE IS CATCHING ON!!! |
Norcal Shelby
Looks like I missed a great day at Mini Nats
Gaetano... wondering how many times you passed that white Fox Bodied #9 Mustang.. one of my buddies Dave Murry and he is really fast.. chases the Winston cup cars....I don't think he watched track junky pulling away:) I hope to bring the Pantera to Thunderhill in October Checkered flag (started by Pantera owners) is running on the Monday afterwards so I may hit Sunday to learn the new track as my buddy Viper boy has already been there once so I don't want to give him too much of an edge. It would be great to hang out with you guys.. try not to break anything Pantera has been a pain lately..going to the Italiano show in Monterey next week and it seems to not like car shows Burned the rotor up one week.. on the hook home and running an hour later.. then on fire the next week.. blew an oil cooler line but it burned mostly oil on the headers that set the air cleaner on fire and killed the motor.. two squirts with the Fire Extinquisher and it was out.. what a mess to clean up. it is still dripping oil out of the frame rails.. All good now and new lines.. thinking about that suppression system I never put on the car Panteracer |
That's funny. He was my biggest competitor. Stayed on my tail but could not ever get around me lap after lap. I'll post some pics.
It would be great to chat with him. If you talk to him can you find out his lap times. I think I was a bit faster but not by much. http://i851.photobucket.com/albums/a...tSonoma045.jpg http://i851.photobucket.com/albums/a...tSonoma046.jpg http://i851.photobucket.com/albums/a...tSonoma047.jpg http://i851.photobucket.com/albums/a...tSonoma048.jpg |
Bob --- I think it's a thing with FORD motors.... None of my Chevrolet stuff breaks.
Sorry to hear of the foibles! And would love to see ya in October! Hope the Ferd will be done but if not I'll run the little 1.8 liter Loti - it kicks ass on Fords and Chevy's. Quote:

I can see why the white car couldn't get around, the jack ass in the orange car would give him a point by. :action-smiley-027:
