Looks great!

INTMD8 01-14-2013 09:01 PM

Yes it does look great!

Can we get some hash marks on the front fender to continue the LT4 Grand Sport theme? :unibrow:

badmatt 01-14-2013 09:10 PM

Well we at least know Rob got the Bolt pattern right.

torino420 01-15-2013 09:33 AM

Looks killer, great job RS!

Way to put the boots to 'em!!! OUCH!!

Roadster Shop 01-15-2013 04:48 PM

I don't know what the deal is, but every time I walk through the shop, there is a different LS motor in front of Rob's car for some reason. Its like it knows what should be done!

Matt@BOS 01-15-2013 05:11 PM

Phil, you know the freaky conjoined twin LS engine deserves to go in a boat, and I can think of none finer and more...boatly(???) at the moment.

Here is my favorite shot. I am having some serious fastback envy and I have 65 Mustang. So cool!

http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...ps469748d7.jpg

GregWeld 01-15-2013 05:21 PM

Matt --

You're on to something! I think the back glass is large enough to be able to drop the twin LS straight down the hatch! Then it would be mid engined....
and kinda sorta like a "hemi under glass".... :D

Sieg 01-15-2013 05:34 PM

More like "semi under glass" eh?

Nice job Phil and crew!

My bet is - when this bad boy gets finished and is sitting somewhere - it draws three times the crowd Danica gets. :woot:

GW I'll keep that in mind for autocross events;)

It's got a better back end than Danica, hers is kinda Boney:cool:

Rob I have dibs on the temp rolling stock.

You know you'll get to burn whatever rubber is left off those GS wheels.

Sometimes you just have to compromise and go the cheap route.

Any LS would want to be in a Torino; it's all part of the FE envy.:P

You all know that GM copied the FE motor design when they built the LS motors.:unibrow:

When I was trying to spec out the trailer - I asked for a 6000# lift (over the standard 4000#) and I wanted 24' feet in the "garage" space. The dealer knows my cars and said -- Greg, you have a '32 Ford and a '65 Mustang you want to haul around....

I said - Dave, I have friends - and they may want to go with me somewhere... and pointed him to this thread.

Done.

  :woot:

So.... if you put the LS9 Corvette motor in and got some Chevy wheels....
we could rebadge this as a Ford Cortina??

What DG did Ford go back 40 years in a time machine to copy the LS architecture? Has all that SB2 trouble made you an LS man now?:D

Nope just a 30 footer that's been on there since I got her. It looks worse in person:( Should be Back Jade that was the original color.

Kidding aside - I agree and really like that he's going dark green, it's a serious and understated color that fits the build well.
