VERY nice. I know all about looking down the side of a truck and not liking what you see. I've had an 02 and 03 in the past year and a half and its just terrible how bad the transition from the cab to the bed looks.

Dang, Marty, your truck is simply incredible!! :wow: :faint: Awesome concept and meticulous execution!!

looking good man.. cant wait to see it painted finally!

syborg tt 09-13-2007 12:49 PM

Good Morning,

The guy's have been hard at work on the Sema Camaro.
However they are still working on the truck.

Right now they are working on fitting the bed cladding.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._09_11_001.jpg

The cladding now sits on the side of the truck perfectly without any stress.
I am so happy we made everything in Fiberglass.
www.syclone-typhoon.com

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._09_11_002.jpg

The tailgate is finally fit - This was a big pain in the ars.
You can also see that the Rear Cover is going to need to be widened
The gap from the Factory is almost 1/2" - not good

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._09_11_003.jpg

PS - your not going to believe me but Kenny didn't take these pictures Travis did.

If I remember right from this summer when I met everyone - all these people work a full-time job, PLUS working nights and weekends in this shop building these cars (and trucks).

THAT is absolutely amazing work and progress !!

I can only imagine the partying this crew will do at SEMA !

HRBS 09-13-2007 01:57 PM

1st: Looks great Marty.

2nd: I too am a part-timer. I work 40hrs a week as an Architect designing houses and put 35hrs a week nights and weekends at my shop designing and building hot rods.:willy:

3rd: I need a "party break" as well ... SEMA will be fun !

syborg tt 09-13-2007 02:02 PM

I work about 50 hours a week Day job

When the truck was here I was at the chassis shop working about 15 hours a week - excluding the 60 minute commute each way. Now that the truck is at Kenny's i've actually had some free time to go Mountain Biking and I even did my first race in 12 years.

I am still selling parts about 20 hours a week so i can pay for this habbit plus i'm working on the build book and website.

Garage Dog 65 09-13-2007 03:08 PM

Wow, I feel like a total slacker ..... working 'only' 12 hours days trying to help keep our airline afloat - then I go home and basically do a little of nothing.

You guys amaze me and really deserve that party time at SEMA ! Enjoy.

syborg tt 09-24-2007 02:13 PM

Good Morning All,

It's like Christmas in September.
The crew at Bowler Transmission built the new transmission for Syborg and I can't wait to see it in the truck.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album...wler.thumb.gif

Kenny and Travis both said it's a really nice looking piece.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album...07_09_20_2.jpg

The only problem is that Travis had to help Kenny lift trans out of his truck.
Seems Kenny's been eating to many donuts and skipping the gym.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album...07_09_20_1.jpg

I'm really happy to be working with the Guy's & Gals at Bowler they are a top notch crew.
I am also very happy that they wanted to be part of my project.

Good Morning All,

I know it's shocking - I am actually doing an update before Sema.

Well, it looks like more parts are flying in.
We contacted the guy's at Jesel and they were kind enough to help us with the part numbers
of everything we needed to get the Pontiac Heads put together.

Once we had all of the part Numbers I called Scoggin Dickey Parts Center
www.sdpc2000.com -- these guy's are top notch and there prices are dirt cheap.

He is trying to get it together by the end of next week.

Back From Sema and Kenny is hard at it.
The Rocker Cladding has been extensivly modified.
New mouting provisions have been made to ensure a good quality fit.

More to come next week

ccracin 11-19-2007 07:07 PM

Marty,

Those wires could be from the cores used in the casting process. I've seen wires like that used to hold several cores together or in place. Although that is in steel castings and they normally are made of an alloy that melts away where exposed to the liquid metal. I'm not real familiar with the aluminum casting processes. Just a guess. Looking bad a$$ by the way. Keep the pics coming. Gotta love these trucks!

Later.

Yep - that was a tri-pod that I gave you. It's pretty cool all of the big shops use them.

Just in case you can't figure out the Tri-pod you could alway's set the camera on a cardboard box.
