Those look like mustang mirror's.

Cris@JCG 11-23-2011 04:28 PM

I will take 100 lbs over having to adjust valve train & carburetors any time..
Also willing to make a little wager with you that if the Blu Balz comes back out for RTTC & if you don't have any excuses that your is car down for some upgrade  .. That we will turn in better times than you in that pre-historic 69 of yours!

Vegas69 11-23-2011 04:58 PM

Oh, I thought you were driving. I was already having thoughts of driving it around town. Then selling it to somebody else that desires one of them limp wristed ls motors. :P

That bet won't even buy me a set of 200 treadwears for the event. (I'm on r888's) Bring him out and we'll see if you can back up that mouth. Don't be surprised if you go home with blue balls.

Cris@JCG 11-23-2011 05:24 PM

I will driving something that is fully insured & covered with warranty in case I take cones out or blow up the engine.. Greg Welds Mercedes!

I will order a new set of Forgelines with R888's to make it even on the tires.. Now I know our times will be even better than yours!

Lets not talk about “BALLS” their Todd… Aren’t you about to get married here pretty soon? Have you even asked Kelli for permission to attend RTTC or if you are allowed to make a small wager & take the money out of your joint account!... All talk but no action! Get used to hanging them “BALLS” on the coat hanger when you wall in the door every evening!

Things are getting pretty interesting here.:D
I love Blu Balz. One of my favorite '68 Camaros out there and I'm not really into the '68's that much. But, this car is making me re-think that. And Payback,...well, is just awesome. I love the fact that Todd runs a BBC engine and kicks some butt.

Z06Joe 11-23-2011 06:48 PM

Car turned out great!!!

Cris@JCG 11-23-2011 06:58 PM

Thank you! We got about 300 miles on her since we got back from SEMA.. Working out the little bugs & setting it up for some hard driving..

Cris --

I asked permission from my wife to borrow her R8 Spyder so I can lend it to you to track the crap out of it!

Todd --

I'm kinda thinkin' that Cris is on to you.... Did you get permission from Kelli to do ANYTHING other than the list she left for you??

LOL

I'm ready to see both of these cars in one place---"Blu Ballz and Payback"--- sounds like a country song about a guy who's been divorced awhile and wants to get even.

Cris, see you in Del Mar!

Uncle Taco, see you at RTTC---shall I reserve your room/office?

D

Vegas69 11-23-2011 08:07 PM

Hell yes, I got blue balz to kick and names to take.

Thats funny, your wife probably drives it harder than Chris would around the autocross.

Can we start a pool here on when Todd makes a post in the For Sale section.
Payback for Sale...
"wife making me get rid of car, complains I spend more time in the garage than on the couch watching tv with her. Also kid on the way need to make room for new Dodge Caravan."

Vegas69 11-23-2011 08:12 PM

****s getting deep around here. Weld, I'm going to slap you next time I see you.

Cris@JCG 11-23-2011 08:42 PM

Thanks Buddy! Don't forget to mention to the wife about the discussion we had about you adopting me!

OKAY --- That's just GD funny right there!!

Sadly -- we've all seen it before huh....

CarlC 11-23-2011 11:33 PM

There's been a long-running rivalry between the Payback-mobile and my pretty little red machine.

I had the pleasure of spending quite a while behind the wheel of a certain blue '68 Camaro today. For those who are looking for a little edge on the Las Vegas betting line on the Payback vs. BB fight, I might be convinced to talk.:unibrow:

67ragtp 11-24-2011 05:16 AM

Chris- What weight coil springs front and rear did you use on the car?

Thanks Rich

So I'm guessing you guys race the two beasts and Todd took it you?

Cris@JCG 11-28-2011 08:46 AM

Goodguys Delmar

We made it out to our first Goodguys Show before the year ended.. It was a blast to watch the car go down the Autocross track.. Dave & Mary Pozzi were behind the wheel of the car helping me get a feel for the car & to see what needs to be done before we put a full load on the it.. We got a few small issues we need to get sorted out before we track it again.. I was planning on taking it to Streets of Willow on the 4th of Dec. But the front fenders are coming back off so that we can modify the inner wells.. they are rubbing on the inside & have blistered the paint plus the brake booster is not working properly.. I think we are just gonna convert it to manual brakes.. need to put a breather tank on the rear-end.. & just finish off all the details before we deliver it.. In the mean time I daily drive it & use it as my parts chaser! We will also be renting out the Camarillo Airport for testing & tuning with Pozzi’s in early January...

I got to drive the car once down the Autocross with Doug Renner as co-pilot.. Bill Goldberg kept egging me on that I should drive it.. I got thru the course with the car in one piece & did not knock down any cones.. That was a blast...

Here is a pic with Mary behind the wheel..

http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...n/IMG_1771.jpg

Here is a small video of the car going down the track with Dave @ the wheel..

The biggest surprise for us was that we got Muscle Machine of the Year Finalist Award for 2012! By the time we get to Columbus the car will have ran a few track events.. so we will see how the detail of the car holds up.. Just being a finalist is an honor.. We are going to be running the crap out the car.. First event is “Run to the Alamo” in TX..

More pics !

BTW- here is a pic of the tow hooks.. The function on these work great for when we transport the car!
