Final Install of the Vintage Air Valve Relocation ( 05-08-22 )
Next up is the installation of the Vintage Air unit and relocating the valve to the inner fender so it will be easier to service if needed.
So up to the garage attic I go and it's starting to empty. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...a00e5db-me.jpg This is the valve I will be relocating. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...7a37799-me.jpg Since the valve was located in the interior I need to extend the wires out to the inner fender. I need to enlarge the middle hole to 1/2" so somehow I was able to make a close to perfect circle with a dremel tool. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...2170fce-me.jpg My buddy Jimmy stopped by to check on the progress and show me the new exhaust he built. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...f5d9d1f-me.jpg Mocking things up. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...22efa76-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...7b0c101-me.jpg Making things pretty. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...1fd0437-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...f4e06a6-me.jpg |

About a year ago Tobin from Kore3 Brakes sent me the new brake lines and I finally decided to install them.

Wagner Front Drive Opps I forgot a bolt ( 05-14-22 )
Back at it.
http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...4465642-me.jpg So this note has been haunting me for a long time and today I finally decided complete the job. Apparently, I forgot to put one bolt in and I am certain this is a much bigger project then it needs to be as I am certain stuff is going to be in the way. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...d829ffd-me.jpg I took this picture for reference purposes as I am certain I won't be able to remember the belt routing. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...7eca06a-me.jpg I was hoping that all I needed to do was remove the Alternator & bracket. Unfortunately, I was wrong... http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...e7240f6-me.jpg and here is the missing bolt http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...9c75c4b-me.jpg Well it looks like more stuff needs to come off. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...548707c-me.jpg Thankfully the intake manifold has yet to be bolted on. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...5b36a75-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...383c96b-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...e86e3d2-me.jpg All better. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...0aaf00c-me.jpg |
Passenger Side Kick Panel Close out ( 05-21-22)
These are the project that I like doing.
The blue tape is back and you all know how much I like blue tape. I used multiple layers of tape so I would have a very sturdy template. After I removed it I laid it on a thin piece of E-Flute corrugated with the Flutes in the vertical direction. As this would allow the bend that I was to have to make to fill the hole in the front. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...1a31b3c-me.jpg I roughly sketched the outside that I felt would cover the hole. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...11d95ca-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...f90cec7-me.jpg You can see that it folds nicely when the flutes are correct orientation. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...4a46da8-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...7fd6bd2-me.jpg Here is my cut template http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...afe6d8c-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...cfbf67a-me.jpg I wish I would have take a few pictures of the stud that I mounted which hands the closeout panel. Eventually there will be a nut and washer holding it on. You can also see I added two sheet metal screws to keep the panel from moving. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...0ee0fbe-me.jpg Hardware that was purchase. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...ab42766-me.jpg I painted the back side first as this will allow me to flip it and paint the front in an hour or two. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...e8896e0-me.jpg |
Very nice. What did u use to “paint” the panel with? ITT looks like a bed liner coating .
Thanks, Jimbo |
Looking good like always 👌
