Thank you so much and my goal has been to make the car easy to service and hopefully reliable.

The Vintage Air install was fun and if you need to borrow the AC line crimper I loan it out for a small $25.00 donation to the charity I work with and the good part is you get a tax donation.

That is an awesome and great idea, Marty! I may have to take you up in your offer when I get back in mine.

I’ve been looking at the Rivnut tool at Harbor Freight. That would definitely prove useful for my shifter and Holley Terminator mounts.

Seeing your updates is great motivation!

Thank you Matt and the Rivnut tool from Harbor Freight works good not great. But if you are only doing a few then who cares.

On a side note I also rent out the Fender Roller and Back Spacing tool and all of the money get's donated to the Charity.

Slip Yolk Travel (( 07-16-22 ) Got a Question...Need Advice

Back out in the garage and back at it.

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...d79dcd7-me.jpg

The guys at Pro-Tek Powder Coating did an incredible job on the Yolk. However he may have put a little bit to much powder coating on the shaft.

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...f2857e3-me.jpg

So how far in does it go until it bottoms out? If it bottoms out before hitting the powdercoated section you're good. Dennys Driveshafts wants 3/4" for forward movement, so if the driveshaft is installed and car at ride height, if the powdercoated area is 1" or more back from the seal you're good.

Of course you can always sand some coating off to give yourself more room if needed. Tape off the clean part of the yoke and touch up the end of the powdercoating with matching paint, nobody will notice.

In most applications the minimum is 3/4 inch and more than 1 inch is not necessary. This is measured with the rear suspension supported on safety stands or with the rear end on the ground.

Thank You and I was hoping that is what you would say. It looks like I am going to remove another 3/8" of the powder coating which will give me 1.25" of inward travel.
