Rodger and I stopped at Tom Hanna's shop in Wichita, KS, and saw this dragster. All I can say is WOW!!!!!

Tom gave us a personal tour of his shop and showed us all of his projects. He is a first-class guy, and has a great crew.

I sent a note to Tom on Facebook saying I was a fan.
He sent me back a note saying 'Thanks a million for your friendship".
'And since he's in Santa Fe several times a year we should grab a meal together'
I was blown away. He is a first-class guy. Wow.

The dragster has been repainted red and looks even better then the blue, believe that or not. Tom is a great guy and super friendly and helpful.

Time to kick start this thread again

Alright guys, we got to go tour the Nethercutt Collection this afternoon. It was amazing to see the level of craftsmanship these guys do. We saw a 20 million dollar Bugatti and a 1o million dollar piano. We got see all the secret rooms and and the restoration shop.

Here are some pics of my favorite car a 1937 Bugatti. Amazing. It used to be black. There is no bondo on this car. Or lead filler. Really

The wood work in amazing. The interior is some kind of pig skin. the engine made like 300hp in 1937. The car is valued at 20 million. The fit and finish is perfect.

More to come

And some pics of the grand music room. It first it seemed kind of Alice and Wonderland ish at first. But once you realized what exactly you were standing in front of, it is amazing to say the least.

Musclerodz 03-02-2011 10:35 PM

I am officially jealous! I love those cars

Musclerodz 03-02-2011 10:46 PM

That is cool. Is it scratch built dimensionally or recreation from old prints out of steel instead of wood?
