72 Nova

Well.. We finally got this 72 Nova done yesterday.. As Mike called it "Quick & Dirty".. We basically did a LS conversion with T56 & bolt on suspension goodies.. Paint job was a TJ deluxe... stripped, bodywork & paint in 2 weeks...

Mike will be getting it in upholstery in the next few weeks to complete the car.. This car was a blast to drive & enjoyed doing our first pro-tour Nova.. Driving my first LS conversion here @ the shop has lead me to believe that there really is substitute to power-trains..
I currently got two more LS drive-trains on order from Cleveland Pick A Part.. We also got about 10 more items in design for these engine conversions..

Laundry list- DSE upper & lower control arms with coil-over conversion & sway bar, DSE rear leaf springs re-located with mini-tub, DSE sub-frame connectors. Edelbrock headers with Magnaflow exhaust kit, Edelbrock engine mounts, 2nd gen Camaro transmission support modified to fit sub-frame, Wilwood brakes on all four corners with Master cylinder, Ricks/Vaporworks gas tank, LS6 with 4th gen Camaro T56 transmission, Fiske wheels & PS2 tires..

Mike got pulled over within 5 miles from shop yesterday after he picked it up.. Ventura Sherriff Dept & CHP.. I will let Mike tell the story.. It is a funny one..

1970 Chevelle

Got a 70 Chevelle in the shop.. Car was suppose to be a re-painted, change tires & wheels, new interior, & correct any presentable issues.. Car came from NY & we found a few problems that has lead to a complete teardown..

Chevelle will be shipped to Kuwait when completed..

That Nova does look great. Overall great look and stance.

GregWeld 06-13-2011 09:52 AM

I personally don't see what's the big deal if the body isn't actually mounted to anything... do you?

My guess is that the NOVA ran and drove and didn't return to the shop on a tow truck like my super simple little '32 Ford did....(for the third time now)
