Incredible work on the this car. The subframe is amazing. How much room will you have for the headers? Will you have to modify other things like the motor mounts and sway bar? Can't wait to see this finished!!

If you have to build the header from Scratch I have a really nice SS LS header set up that will go right in your car. let me know might save you a few bucks.

Chris Mario is running a 572 :woot: BB

Looks great Mario, now that I look at the pictures I see where the rear of the frame was brought in, I didn't notice that the first time I looked at the pictures! Nice job guys!

Just got back from Indy Good Guy ! Had a great time Troy was doing some promo for his buisness and had my car there on display. I was amazed at all the attension the car got! Troys booth was busy the whole day!! Troy also completed a couple of more things on the car that was a pleasant surprise.. We took a couple of pictures but it was a little dark inside so they didn't come out so good..

Ehhhh it's ok I guess :D

Yah looks fricking AWESOME!!!!!!!!

DFRESH 09-23-2012 02:58 PM

That is wicked looking---love the stance and the way you've got the exhaust setup out back. That's a lot of time you've got wrapped up in there--it's paying off big. Love that big tire in front---and the fact that it precluded you from using your brand new DSE rack and Anvil CF inner fenderwells.

Congrats on all the great progress Mario!

Yah I know I will call you! Just had a crazy couple of weeks.

How wide is it? Want to know if it will fit in the back of a dodge sprinter? Or if I need to bring a trailer?

Garage Dog 65 09-24-2012 08:04 AM

Good to meet you and Mike at the show Mario ! Thanks for sharing the back story on the car and all the work you guys have done to make it happen. While I will really enjoy this awesome ride when you get her done - I always dig the story of how it came to be. Sounds like there are 4 cars worth of 'new' panels in that deal. I still chuckle when I think about the firewall install story with the 2 porta-powers - glad that didn't come loose guys ! I'll call ya when it's time to install mine .... or not !

Troy is way too young to be this good - so unfortunately I hate him....

See ya after a couple hundred hours of cut and buff !

PS, when I introduced myself to Mike and told him that I was watching this build on Lateral-g... he immediately pulled up his sweat shirt to show me a Lat-g shirt. I'm just glad he had a shirt on under there and wasn't just randomly flashing people with his belly button piercings...

I got to see the car in person on Sunday. The car does look great, to me it was the highlight of the show. Not sure if it was because I went on Sunday but i was pretty bummed about the whole show and autocross participation.

Congrats Mario, best car there by miles....

The car looks beautiful. I love what your doing with the marker lights. I always thought it would look great with them recessed and this proves it. I love the ground effects.

BTW these are the Holohans recess pockets we just installed them. Got to give credit where credits due

Tiny update from Troy .. The firewall and trans tunnel are next on the list. We're waiting for the transmission to come in so we can start fitting all the mounts. So everything is in a hold pattern untill it arrives..:lateral:

redfire69 10-16-2012 02:20 PM

Hey Mario, first thing is you gotta love the progress. Looks great! I need to ask, can you provide any details on how you made the ZR1 brakes fit? Did you need to update the hubs, etc. Thanks again - Ron

Ron ... DSE uses stock Corvette spindles. It was pretty much a bolt on for the front . I did change the bearings to a ZR-1 spec, from what I understand the ceramic rotors generate more heat than a conventional rotor.I also had to run 19's for clearance. Kore3 handled the back, again no problem.

Mario, thank much. I plan on running 19" RBC3s. Now I just need to come up with the $$$$ for the brakes...ouch!

Everone thinks its the calipers that are the main cost of this setup. Not the case the rotors are the killer $1700.00 list a piece!!:faint: Thank god for Mr Stielow!! These were going on Red Devil at one time. He set me up with a great deal ...

Troy needs to have the trans to raise the tunnel and finish the firewall. Not a happpy camper right now! So I had Victor Fulton draw me up a new dash while we are on hold. What do you guys think..

garickman 12-03-2012 07:47 AM

You might check and see if suppliers like Summit and other big retailers have the trans instock since they are big stocking dealers. I would rather pay a few bucks and get it now if possible. Summit sells the Magnum T56.

Cris@JCG 12-03-2012 07:52 AM

I buy all my Magnum T56's transmissions from D&D.. Great guys to work with...
