Checking the fuel lines and building the new AC Line (( 08-13-22 ))
I am finally getting closer to starting this car so I need to start making sure all of the lines are tight.
http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...051f0ba-me.jpg I have to remake one of the AC lines so today was the perfect day. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...d1ac835-me.jpg Note to Self...Next time I will take the tire off. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...25a2fa3-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...ff04e15-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...bcb6603-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...a17f43f-me.jpg Next time I will take the blue tape off the fitting prior to crimping. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...6833240-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...05e32d8-me.jpg |
Installing the Driveshaft (( 08-14-22 )) WTF !!!
So, I had a little bit of free time so I decided I would install the U-Joints and put the driveshaft in. Well, that didn't go so well
as I couldn't get the U-Joint seated. I was able to install the axle side with no issue's but the tailshaft side was a no go. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...4ea08b3-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...a5392bb-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...3a78709-me.jpg 2 days later and two new U-Joints http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...61bb99b-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...676addd-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...d5f51ba-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...cab6e04-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...da46fc0-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...45181b2-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...f09f3c3-me.jpg In the end I am walking away !!!! |
Brake Line Swap and just another small detail (( 08-21-22 ))
Putting the old brake lines back on to see if they leak and I might as well clean them up a little bit.
http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...3f8961f-me.jpg I have seen this done on a few cars and I like how it looks. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...9a41260-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...ec8ceca-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...591a862-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...b14b019-me.jpg |
Power Probe 3 and the Driveshaft Yet Again (( 09-04-22 ))
So, I went out and bought the Power Probe 3 for the final wiring and to figure out a couple wiring issue's. I picked it up at Harbor Freight with a 25% discount & gift card when it was on sale so I paid $125. It's kind of one of those tools that I will use a few time but boy is it fun to play with.
http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...475f4dc-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...26c2722-me.jpg So back to the driveshaft and good news is I get to use my Grandfathers Vice to crush this bitch. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...cc60abb-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...ccdf7f6-me.jpg Finally the snap ring is seated !!! http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...2e98d5f-me.jpg Install time for the last time I hope. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...db28a75-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...fdbfd18-me.jpg okay I lied i forgot I still need to remove some powder coating. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...60af149-me.jpg Might as well plug in all of the sensors. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...374c31a-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...87dab22-me.jpg Not using this one. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...0357818-me.jpg I also spent a little time cleaning up the top drawer of my wiring box. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...952a1d4-me.jpg |
Looking good. Sorry I couldn’t find those part numbers before you did. I got sidetracked. My-bad lol But thanks for posting them. I always thought they were metal. When I seen a post before referencing them, I just assumed just that brand was plastic.
How do you like the Master Cool A/C crimper tool. I can only imagine how high the cost went up from before Covid-19 |
