Unfortunately the Front Brake Lines are still leaking (( 11-20-22 )
Just like the title says the front brake lines are still leaking !!!
http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...5496de0-me.jpg Which means once again I am going to try to blead the brakes. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...6811410-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...c27db83-me.jpg Apparently, the line is still leaking as it's constant bubbles under suction and there is fluid on the cardboard. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...ecf4e29-me.jpg I am going to replace the banjo bolts since it's the only thing I haven't replaced. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...3492d1f-me.jpg UGH still leaking so I am calling it a night http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...630e256-me.jpg 11-21-22 Update (( I HAD TO WALK AWAY YESTERDAY ) I decided to put on the new lines that Tobin sent me to see if that was the issue. I created this unnecessary little line so I could just plug the line coming from the master cylinder. So many unnecessary pieces but it was fun using all of the pieces I had laying around. Lets just call it an anger management project and it worked. On one of my trips to the Autopart's store for the plug I found a discarded phone case that had the owners ID, Credit Cards and Debit card. Since the address wasn't far from my house I brought it to the address and left it on the front porch. y guess is they stole his phone and ditched the case. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...ebcb16f-me.jpg New Lines installed & a slightly larger outside diameter crush washer which I picked up earlier in the day. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...c73749f-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...fe4bed1-me.jpg Drivers Side Line. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...e2c4b16-me.jpg You can actually see the size difference of the crush washer even though it is very minimal. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...0d7b2e8-me.jpg Clean up time http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...5e90405-me.jpg Hopefully this solves the issue. |
Fuel Lines and Kicker Blue Tooth Car Stereo (( 11-25-22 ))
I decided to clean out the fuel lines so I can finally start the car. Then I for some unknown reason decided to walk into the rack. Man did that hurt.
http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...4a28868-me.jpg Since my head was still hurting I decided to run the wires for the kicker controller up to the shifter. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...7d8def8-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...6230e2d-me.jpg I will need to put the wires in the tech flex flat loom which I will most likely do later tonight. I just wanted to here it play music. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...e688750-me.jpg This will also be wrapped in the flat loom and will be attached with Velcro to rear firewall. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...417a21e-me.jpg |
2nd Chance -- More Stuff (( 11-30-22 ))
Picked up the coolant
http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...2840a94-me.jpg Order the new Wilwood Electric E-Brake from Tobin at Kore3 Box one is here and she looks a little beat up however it looks like everything is here. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...1b13d24-me.jpg New Bracket Hardware http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...0666469-me.jpg Box #2 is here and the UPS driver must be a car guy as he tucked the box under the bench on our porch. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...890d95e-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...e95b5f4-me.jpg I can't wait to install these http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...c02ac0c-me.jpg Opps I found more parts in the attic. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...42d6cf7-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...32a6df9-me.jpg |
Yep, I found a single U-Joint needle bearing on the floor. (( 12-04-22 ))
So I found a single needle bearing on the floor and of course it's from the driveshaft. I finally decided to remove the driveshaft off and see which U-Joint it could be.
http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...014e7e8-me.jpg Here we go http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...b95e66e-me.jpg You're not going to believe it I found it under the first cap I removed. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...81097c6-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...176e07c-me.jpg Back in and on to the next project. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...3df2b43-me.jpg |
This better be the last time I bleed the brakes (( 12-04-22 ))
Please of Please make this the last time.
http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...865f450-me.jpg I also cycled the suspension to make sure the lines don't hit anything and I discovered the passenger side was hitting the upper control arm. So I loosened the line on the frame rail and took the tension out of it and set on the proper location/rotation. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...0112281-me.jpg Installed the top post batter covers since the battery is not hot !!! http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...edab352-me.jpg Another nice easy project at least on one side and it's a good thing that I have plenty of bike water bottle hardware laying around. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...d54eaf1-me.jpg Drivers side dust cover http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...5a8482d-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...e93dca9-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...4d06a7f-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...6fc3d3e-me.jpg It looks like the passenger side is going to be put on hold as I have no interest in removing the starter today. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...957676f-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...3096acf-me.jpg I climbed back up in the attic and removed the Vintage Air controller to see if I could turn off the fan as when I turned the key to ignition on position the fan starts running. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...0a0c5f6-me.jpg Installed the defrost ductwork. I am not going to lie as I am most likely going to buy some new stuff as it's kindy dirty. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...5b263e2-me.jpg Remy taking a nap. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...8478f0b-me.jpg He did a poor job monitoring me install the washer bottle. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...5e97909-me.jpg The parts on the shelf is smaller. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...be75885-me.jpg |
