There's no underground parking there. That hotel is right across from the Excel Energy Center. Will you have a trailer?

No trailer, like I said, I should think of a way to chain the thing to the ground. I can't get a GPS/cell phone alarm installed in time for the show. I still have a ton of little details to sort out. How's the parking lot at that hotel?

XcYZ 06-28-2007 04:52 PM

Well, parking isn't the best, they have their own little ramp. That hotel is primarily for staying at when attending events at the Excel Energy Center. It's not real convenient to get in and out of, but very convenient for staggering to and from the Excel.

I looked at their calendar of events, and there's nothing going on there that weekend, so the place shouldn't be too busy. :)

Motel 6 is about 4 miles from grounds Still had rooms $65 for a twin bed

If you stay on the north side of the fairgrounds, you should be good. Arden Hills, Shoreview, and Roseville are all very close and pretty quiet.

The Hampton Inn where comp-spec is staying is a pretty nice, newer place.

Frankenstang, I forgot to add that the Holiday Inn Express that you're staying at is really nice. I hope I bump into you at Car Craft.

We would love to go but, we would probuly play hell trying to get a hotel this late!

Not at all, Paul. The Twin Cities metro is huge, there are plenty of hotels that are within 20 minutes of the State Fairgrounds. Besides, this time of year, half the population of Minnesota is 'up north' fishing. :D

I'm staying at the lovely, grass filled estate... of my home.. LOL

Just kidding.

You'll be surrounded by hundreds of people parking their cars outside at the hotels, its one of the cool places to go after the show!

just make sure your car isnt nicer then the rest of them so theives will go elsewhere!
