Love the Pictures. It is very similar to what I have been, "Planning" for my build. I love the CF hoods, Deck lids, spoilers etc. so, My plan of painting my 69 Camaro goes like this: Dominant Color: Red (Specific Red yet to be determined) and taking CF Hood, Deck lid, Spoiler etc. and Taping off the Z/28 Stripes before painting the CF parts red. Then instead of painting the stripes black later, use the natural color of the CF to show through as the stripe colors themselves, thus having CF Stripes. From one end of the car to the other. I think it would give a killer look to a, "Standard", Camaro Paint Scheme. Traditional, yet Unique at the same time. I think it would be a cool way to Design the paint job and naturally show off the CF. Is this similar to what you had in mind? Looking at your striping shows a very cool technique. Yours will probably be a lot more cost effective than what I want to do. In any event, I can't wait to see it when it is completed. I'm sure it will look very cool. In the mean time, I'm hoping a number of different CF parts will make it to the market so I can get mine painted in the relative near future. Thanks for posting the photos. I'll be looking forward to seeing more of them. Take Care, Ty O'Neal |
That thing is awesome......Jim does pretty amazing work....You need to post the shot of the front sub\suspension..... :woot:

Ty, that's a cool idea, MCR did that with their Cuda. But to do that on a 1st Gen, you'd also need a CF header panel, cowl vent panel, and rear window fill panel as well as the CF hood, rear spoiler and deck lid.

Absolutely Outstanding!!
