That looks great. It wouldn't look so "ugly" if you swapped the front with a laguna.:)

I always knew that the "73-'77 GM "A-body" cars could be made into some awesome looking rides. I had a '73 Laguna as well as a '75 Malibu classic.
I would like to pick up one...they are getting harder to find at a reasonable price. The model you posted was a 1975 Chevelle Laguna! That would look great on the front! Here's my example of a '73 Laguna Wagon made into a two door wagon with Chevelle Laguna S-3/ Chevelle SS stripes on it. Here's another sample... |
Great-looking cars, those '73-77's.... I've owned a few myself over the years (even had a '76 Laguna S-3 for a spell in college)... I'm currently working up some designs for my dentist's project, a '75 Cutlass that we'ree applying some cool new ideas to.
Way off that topic, I've always thought about the Monte's from that era, and how natural a fit the funny car treatment would have been.... http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/a...ntefunny3a.jpg ...of course, all that 'flake might slow 'er a bit... hmmmm.... |
Brian....that's a killer looking Monte! I love it! IMO, one of the very few cars that still had great styling through the 70's. Most of the long nose A/G body coupes/hardtops just had a smooth and stylish look while just about everything else started looking like an heavily ornamented brick with huge bumpers.

Ben & Brian, Great concepts on the Malibu & Monte! I have a soft spot for the 73-77 GM "A" body cars.
