Well, I thought it was a great idea. ;) I thought I read that AME owned the rights to Art/Wayne designed suspensions.

The thing I would consider over the speed tech frame is the front steer of the Wayne/stock based frame.

It would not be too difficult to recreate.

Because the 8-10 that are already out there aren't enough? Heidts, Chassisworks, TCI, Scotts, Martz, Checquered, AJE. And those are just off the top of my head. Not to mention the companie's that make crossmember conversions such as Fatman Fab and Arizona Nova. I think the market is pretty diverse. One of the Chevy magazines did an article a couple months back that listed them. It was ridiculous.

Actually I was refering to AME's lack of one...side joke/poke. I've been bugging them since Wayne moved on.

However, I think we do need something of this sort. A frame designed to run better than the other 8-10 frames. Most others are builder specific parts. IE, arms spindles and funky shock configurations.

The only frame out there that I would consider is the Chris Alston version. I've built with the Heidts in the past and was never happy with the handling.

I am putting it out there.
I'd like to see a frame for a 62-67 Nova that uses 1st generation Camaro suspension components and actually improves geometry,wheel placement and allows most popular engines without the need for custom headers or oil pans. oh and don't forget the front steer rack....:willy:

We bent the rails for Art and then Wayne and Wayne gave us all his info when we were designing our sub. Taking what he had and using what we knew it really helped us get that product to market quickly. Wayne's jigs are probably still around, but they are set up for our frame rails.

To answer your thread jack, we are designing a 62-67 Nova front sub and should have something out later this year...... No pricing or ETA on product yet, but I will keep everybody posted.

Craig, is your Chevy 2 sub uses Corvette stuff, we need to talk about this. I might have just the little project for it. Could be good Embassy Suite cocktail hour conversation at HR&R, or just a excuse to drink!
