Man I feel slighted

I posted to your intro asking for some details. Maybe my 69 Torino, FE powered, tremec 5 speed RRS strut kit, watts linked, detroit locker on 17 inch rolling stock just doesn't measure upt as PT in your eyes. Also those new modular 32 valve motors are nice but the weigh a ton and won't really help handling. Sure IRS in a stang is a cool idea but there are many 3 and 4 link set ups made that have a lot less unsprung weight and will produce great handling. Back in 1984 I built a 69 Firebird with Herb adams bars and solid body bushings, global west bushings in my modified arms, 77 riveira read disc barakes to match the front factory discs on 16" Ronal rims and Gatorbacks. I gotta admit I love those first gen F bodies (never loved chevys so I build a Pontiac). Those cars are a great platform and many parts are now available for them so they are even easier to build than ever. My favorite builds on this site right now are the Green demon and the guy building the 67 turbo stang. I just like something different. There are a lot of awsome cars on here. Did you see that Corpala? I saw the 63 Impala at the roadster show and it was one of the best wxecuted cars I've ever seen. I also saw steve's 68 Camaro and that car was also a gem. So look through the posts. I agree sometimes I get tired of reading so much about Camaros but there are a lot of different cars on here. |
Around here we like them all...BTW I have a 68!! ;)

Check the home page theres a few mustang not as many as f bodies but every things welcome here. The mod motor is a waste of time in a early mustang and ford is replacing it soon that shows how good it is.The irs is more for a smoother ride not handling anymore a straight axle set up right will out handle a irs.

Umm, where did you see my car? I had a shoot in the summer with Modified Mustangs and never sent the spec sheet in ( i am perpetually lazy). Unless you know something I don't. -- Joe |

I love the brakes. Getting ready to install a hydroboost from a later SN95 car to get some more assist. The original 91 disk/drum booster just does not provide enough for comfort. I kinda like the way it is now, I'm just afraid the wife won't be able to push down hard enough to stop safely. |
The camaro's are hot, I have noticed alot more 2nd gen camaro's lately, the mustangs are hot right now the mid 60's stangs, the mopars are big. there's a ton of pro tour style cars, even the 50's shoebox cars. so I wouldn't just say camaros.

Don't forget the 2's!

not many fords
true, but what few there are, have been done right. I didn't go with a mod motor (supercharged, fuel (and methanol) injected 302), but I have the IRS!
The link below will take you to teh feature of Mustang and Fords magazine. I got the cover. http://www.mustangandfords.com/featu...ack/index.html |
