I got one for my Chevelle and had to have an adjustment made on a fitting so I took it to a welding company that does mostly production/construction work even some jobs with IBM - they concentrate on aluminum/SS. They looked over Rick's tank and said the work was top notch - when I told them the price they said for materials and quality it was a good price (they said you get what you pay for and there's a huge difference between an OK welder, a good welder, and a top notch welder). As for lead-time, it works out well when your doing a build because you can absorb and factor in 5-6weeks. There's a reason they have long-lead times - its a reflection of quality and demand. I hope they don't hire a couple novice welders and try to just ship orders.... good things come to those that wait (at least in this case).

I suspect that their deal with Jeg's keeps them extremely busy. They have a lot of part numbers available there and any custom tanks would have to be worked into their schedule.

Good point. I just go my Rick's tank about a few weeks back. I think it took about 8-9 weeks but worth the wait. Looks nice Tony

I bought mine 2 years ago and have still not installed it..

What are you guys doing for a vent ?? Mine has a vent hole but no valve etc. I was considering just changing to a vented cap since I'm pretty sure the one I have on there is not...
