if you had to pay for that, it would be cheaper to just buy a wheel and tire....

I would love to have that as a table. And it wouldn't even smell like a tire. :D

You ask Why?

Because he is not making a wheel and tire, He is creating, "Art".

More specific it's called Sculpture.

Most of the Car Builders ARE Artist. It's just the medium, (Wood instead of Aluminum) that is different.

Watch a good body man do a custom panel, fender or scoop. Same thing, Sculpture. Then a more traditional Art is applied. (Paint)

Nelson Engines are, "Operating Sculptures".

In many cases the artist doesn't need a reason why their doing it, only the desire to.

Have you noticed how many of the builders of the greatest cars, often finish a project, then shortly thereafter, sell it and start a new one?

They are the Artist among us. I was born with a great appreciation of Art, mixed with poor talent. :(

That's why I probably see it this way.

Thoughts?

Ty

I apologize if the tone comes off pompously, it is not intended. I just truly appreciate/admire/envy the talents some people are probably born with.
