I was looking into the AM IFS kit...I am really leaning toward going with the Morrison IFS weld in crossmember kit. I saw that it is listed with a track width of 48 on a 22" os/os frame. The original Track width of my healey is 48.7", I went out and measured my frame, it is 23" from os to os. I dont know if you would have any suggestions as to what direction to take this. I can either try to add 1" in the crossmember or order the one for the 28" frame and narrow it 5".

What would you suggest?
Thanks!

With the AME kit, we lose the OEM front x-member right? It's 'self contained'? If so order the smaller one and it gives us a tad more room for wheel offset. Does the AME part have engine mounts? I don't think it does, we have to make some anyway.

We will loose the front x, yes. No big deal, the original is actually even with the bottom of the frame, it doesn't hang below it. The KIT is just the x member and lower/uppers ect..Here is the kit 2nd one down http://artmorrison.com/layout.php?y=.../mifs/&x=index

We will still use the existing "boxes" for the engine mounts, that wont be a issue. We will just cut them down a few inches and weld a plate on it.
If we order the smaller one then we either need to notch the frame 1/2" on each side or we will need to add 1 " to the x member. I don't really think it will be that hard to notch it and box it, I just wanted to see what they suggest, they might even be able to make one for me.:hail:

I am almost positive I am going to get the AME kit though, seems to be the easiest way. They also come the closest in the track width we will need.
