That's a sweet car. The customer wanted blue, so it's blue. Not my car I would have done it red like the original. But it should still turn out cool.

I didn't know the EXP coupe was fuel injected! I have a mustang coffee table book with some great pics of the car, but none with the air cleaner off.

These were our options Boss 429 / Boss 302 / Tunnelport 427

This one is actually going in a 23 T bucket. If anyone has a good memory, think back to Popular Hotrodding March of 71 on the cover, This is the motor to that T bucket, and we have the T bucket too, doing a restoration on it to the way it was in 71

Ooh, I like the tunnel port. Do you have anymore info on the 302. I don't recognize those valve covers. I thought all Boss 302's had cleveland heads and valvecovers?

Boss 302 Info

It is an original 69' Boss 302. The valve covers are original Ford Girdled Valve Covers they attach to the actual rocker studs with 7/16" nuts. 302 Boss Motors use a "cleveland style" head, not an actual cleveland head. The boss head has a coolant crossover that goes through the intake and the cleveland head does not. :captain:

Hes right a boss is a Windsor block the heads came out before there ever was a Cleveland engine.Ford did take the design of boss heads and put them on the Cleveland later on.Boss came out in 69 Cleveland didn't tell 70.
