Where did you get the speaker rings for the build?

Is the enclosure finished? From the picture it looks like the subs are sharing the same air space.Might want to seperate the enclosure so that each sub sees it's own sealed enclosure.It's been a while since I've done any stereo work but that's what I was always advised. I've always lightly sanded the inside of the enclosure and fiberglassed the inside to insure it's air tight.Both of these thing make a pretty big difference in sound quality and are worth the work.

The speaker rings are the same 3/4 in mdf i just cut them out with the jigsaw at like a 30 degree angle then hand sanded them for a really long time till i got the curve i wanted. the subs are sharing the same air space but since there running off the same amp it should be ok ive only heard of dividing up the air space if each sub is running off its own amp. No the enclosure isnt quite finished im makeing some trim rings to go around the amps to and i cant decide weather or not i want to cover it all in the black suede to match the rest of the interior or if i should fiberglass it. The only problem is ive never used fiberglass before and ive got nobody around where i live that does this type of stuff so im kinda flying solo

I think ive decided to fiberglass the sterio stuff, but ive never used fiberglass before. Can anyone explain the steps of how to use it?

I sand the inside with some 120 grit then clean the dust as thouroughly as humanly possible. Clean it with some alcohol.Precut some 3 inch wide strips to do your corners and some sheets to do your flats. If you have never used fiberglass resin before you might want to use epoxy resin you can have a MUCH longer work time. Fiberglass resin sets very quickly. Mix your epoxy reisin and brush it into the corner then lay the strip into the corner allowing half of the strip to sit on either board of the angle. Once you have worked the air bubbles out of the corners you can start brushing the flat and lay your sheet down on the flat. I ususally do two layers and alternate between the corners and the flats. Depending on temperature it may take the epoxy over twenty four hours to dry. If you decide to do the epoxy resin make sure you use a weave and not a chopped matt. You can only use chopped matt with fiberglass resin. It's no too late to put that divider board in. Good luck hope this info helps.

I'm on your side 3400 watts of power and it does over come the BBC and 3" exhaust. At regular levels it sounds better than most home theaters........lol

Go by your local boat shop and look at the West Systems epoxy resin display. They have a book available that will help you learn how to use the stuff, plus epoxy resin is easier to work with as it isn't effected by the temperature and humidity as regular polyester resin is. You can also do some really cool stuff with it.

Haha thats pretty much how mine is I love it, I never have to pull up to a stoplight and listen to someone elses music I can just turn mine up and thats all I hear and at 3200 rpm's on the highway it's still crystal clear. I did give fiberglassing a shot yesterday. I tip my hat to all of yall out there that can do that because it looks alot easier than it actually is lol. It being 90 something degrees outside yesterday didnt seem to help either, oh well I'll try again pretty soon and just keep experimenting.
