By the way we got the tank from a 4 wheel drive place, it seams that a lot of off-roaders are using hydra boosters.

I believe the return is the issue. The reservoir Paul @ Hydratech recommends is one that has 2 returns and 1 supply.

How large is the tank?

Awesome, now I get to spend more money and make all new hoses....:(

Thanks for the help!

Here's a couple pics of the instal I did on the 68 chevelle we built. The number one cause of hydroboost issue is the return line. The line coming from the unit vertualy has no return pressure to where as the power stearing pump it self typicaly has 2 to 3 lbs. If you look at a tee from the top side the one coming in the side (which you call the branch part of the tee) you want that to be the hydroboost return. The run part of the tee (the part of the tee that goes strait through) you want that to be the pump return. If these get mixed up you start to put return pressure back into the hydroboost unit and it starts to cause all kinds of symptoms. 1st it would cause back pressure caussing heat in the system 2nd airation would acure which would make your pedal start to pulsate and then cause the brakes to lock or keep kicking the pedal back. The system is going to take a while to bleed all the micro bubbles out and in the mean time make noise (air in the system makes the noise) I also have a B.S. res. and it is plenty sutiable for the system. It is a great design cause it has anti foaming system and the return line comes up th middle and emptys at the top.

I want to thank everyone for their input on my Hydraboost problem!

It turned out to be a return line issue. I took the T out and welded a -6 into the reservoir at the top and presto...no more foaming or pedal issues.

Thanks again.
