That took alot of effort. The forum was pretty supportive and no one seemed to give him any crap for trying!!

So it seems the end result didnt work though?

I salute the dude. I would say "cut him some serious slack". Although I also laughed my a$$ off, I very much salute his efforts and enthusiasm. Did you notice how the guys on the boards were at first amused, then very encouraging? The guy was very innovative and resouceful. With an HO block, he might have pulled it off.

Wow... not too sure about that carb hat... but these home grown setups can make serious power on the cheap (at least while they hold together).
