Is that a transaxle or a small Lear jet engine I see in one of the pics?!?

I like how you did the exhaust mounts to coincide with the frame mounts!

TRICKY! TRICKY! TRICKY!

Are you going to be tying those in with some sort of bracing going across the floorpan due to it being a convertible or will that not be need with the frame as is?

Rectangular holes......

They are slots. We considered rectangles, with (small) radiused corners, but went with the slots.

Thanks for all the comments guys. I thought I might show you how we go about making the pieces in Solidworks and the test fit the pattern before we cut them out on the water jet. We make most custom parts in Solidworks now-a-days, it allows you to do things that would take days to make by hand in just a few hours.

Oh i see them now. When i first looked at them i thought they were more rectangle. After the drawing that rodger just posted shows it much better. How big are the slots? They look like maybe 1"x3.5". Anyways the frame is bad a$$. I have always had a soft spot for the 62-65 novas. Any idea on a rough completion date?

The slots between the two main rails are approximately 5/8" x 2". The slots sizes will vary depanding on where they are located..... (you'll see on future posts).

I have a hard spot for 62-65 Novas!

That is a tough one. Ironworks is ahead of schedule right now, but I know things will slow down with design considerations (stay tuned for more SolidWorks parts!)........ Bottom-line: I don't want to rush this build.
