You guys look like you do some killer work but I have to ask why no pics of finished cars on your site?? Gotta update the site would love to see some final product from the looks of the project section.

To be honest.... this site gave me all the inspiration and information as far as the components I wanted to use but I got overwhelmed with work and life and the project got put on hold.
The plan for the build changes daily so if anyone has any good ideas I'm all ears, I'm lost as far as paint color and theme.

My car is just a pinto compared to the other builds in Rodgers shop. I'm just glad he had time to help me get it finished.

Well Brian funny you should ask. We started out doing Fabrication only about 8 years ago. We have probably worked on 150 cars in those 8 years. We have done tons of fab work for Customers who want to do more General Contracting. To other shops that will never share the glory and With someofthe work they did before or after us, I'mnot sure I want my name on it anyways. If a guy wants his car chopped and bagged and wants to swap out the suspension we can do only that for him. It has only been in the past few years that I have gotten some of the customers that come in our door and will allows us to to the work we do to the level we want and insist on doing to in every aspect. They want the wiring to look as clean as the chassis work. If I posted all the work we have done it would be a never ending list and some of them I would deny ever working on, not because of quality, but because some cars we have worked on have been just because you have to pay the bills. Plus I'm not sure I could afford the bandwidth for all that.

My thought has always been to show the work that "WE" have done and that represents what we do and the direction we want to go. We do not do paint and body in house, So I do not display the work we have had painted somewhere else. I work to display the high end sheetmetal work and chassis work that we do. As our shop continues to grow and expand we are working on focusing on more and more aspects of the builds in house. About 6 months ago we expanded our shop from 7800sqft to 10,000 and added a 2200 sqft final assembly room. Our day is coming when you will see all of the super ridiculous builds in my shop in full paint, chrome and leather. The majority of the builds we have going will take years to complete. Both because of the vast amount of work needed to complete and because of the customers pocket book.

As I look at the past 2-3 years I see where our fab work somehow went from doing these odds and ends to having some triple throw down projects. It seems like alot of the middle of the road projects kinds skipped us. We kind stepped right up to the super bright ideas catagory and skipped alot of the bolt togther builds. There are many shops out there that are paint shops that do some fab, There are fab shops that assemble cars and then there are fab only shops. The big time shops that really expand learn to do everything on every level of the build to the top level of quality. I think when we started building some of these projects that have a very aggressive stance and some super killer details, it showed that there is void in the market for that stuff. I get the call all the time asking how we got that car to sit that way, what parts did we install. Most people do not get what we do and to what extent it takes to build these projects. Ask John or Brian how much money it cost them to get their car to have a stance like it does and cram all the parts in there. I tell people everyday that for every inch you want to make car lower it gets infinitly more expensive. I truely do not think we could put anymore crap on Johns Nova. We barely have room for drivers seat any more, but gosh that car is awesome.

It is kind refreshing to put togther an easy project like Rich's car. We are still pouring our heart and soul into this build, just like all the rest, but the light at the end of the tunnel does not seem light years away. I think even Rich was amazed at how much work we have gotten done in only 3 weeks. I would like to be able to give this car back to Rich for Christmas, but only time and how much crap he wants on this car will determine that.

Rodger, well said in regards to the finished projects. I say stick with what got you and your company where you are Today. The fab is awesome. It's your art/trade. Plenty of body shops around but not many places that do all aspects perfect. :thumbsup:

I plan to expand as we get more and more aspects of each build down pat, so I do not have to do anything out side the shop. We have a brand new body and paint guy starting next week with 20 years experience in the lowrider scene and I'm feeling pretty good about him. Our final assembly and mechanical side of the shop has been coming along very nicely for the past year. I may be looking for another mechanic/wiring guru guys here really soon.

...i like the vinyl top.....everybody seems to take them off .thats why id keep it.
