as much as i hate any kinda racing where all ya do is drive in circles.... i have been offered a "ride" in a 360 sprint. not cuz i have the expierence...but because im a scrawny bastard 5'10'' 130.... that and a combination of a few other things...like the normal driver, who is the same size as myself, is out with a broken leg.... i jokingly offered to drive the car... one thing led to another... and the car owner decided he would rather try me out the rest of the year...so he can atleast get paid from his sponsors...and if i do ok.. who knows... might have another car next year.

first "play day" is fri night... and racing sat/sun. we will see how it goes.

360 winged on non wing car? I worked on a 360 winged sprinter for 6 years.

Have you ever driven anything like that before? Remember, the car only works when your on the gas (well, methanol). Stand on it and get some pics if possible.

360 winged...methanol. never driven any kinda dirt racing before, tonight is the first night i will actually be driving the car. the other driver has been giving me the "crash coarse" verbal driving lessons.... i think im ready :_paranoid

the nice part about it is... its a top 5 car..... the team is great with set up etc... basically all i have to do is get in the car... and learn to pilot it.

the main goal for the weekend is to just keep the car in 1 piece and finish the races...... so we will see

I'll definitely want a race report.

How big is the track?

Ed is right. Being another "seasoned" nascar fan, it has lost it's luster lately. The only race I attend now is Bristol. It is 90 miles away but argueable the best race all season. The Saturday night race is no doubt as good as it gets nowdays.
Bristol=Racing the way it ought to be.

well.... i have to say my sprint car piloting performance was miserable...borderline pathetic, but for the first time ever purposly in the dirt i had a lot of fun.

they ended up putting another driver in... somebody with some actual expierence. i swear the kid cant be any more than 15..maybe 16..... used to race the winged kart things... then pro mods... jumped in the car and looked like a professional...which made my attempt at driving look even worse :willy:

i can already tell im gonna be sore in the morning...... so off to bed for me.
