Thanks guys, and thanks to Adam for hosting them!

BTW: the guys in the vid are not me! One is my friend Matt who has the tuning software, and the other is Mo, who did all my wiring.

Hi Ryan, great to hear the car's up & running at last  Is that a rebuilt engine with a new cam? If it has got a new cam, then you know the cam has to be run in, ie keep the revs up to 2-2500 for 15 minutes or so, buzzing the revs every now & then, otherwise you'll wear out the cam lobes & the life of the cam will be drastically shortened. Just don't let it idle on tickover too long!

So when do we get to se the vids of the car on the road

Thanks for the tip, the engine is used with a new cam. There are alot of varying stories over at LS1tech to do with cam swaps, so I'll take what you said make sure it gets broken in properly.

I'd say the car will have it's first shakedown runs in about a month.

Damn Ryan! I hope you got your exhaust/suspension completed. I think the 4th gen has to go. I NEED a 69 :hail:

Congrats Ryan. Its nothing like firing a engine for the first time.

With the roller cams in the LSX engines is that really important? I thought that run in cams just was for tappet lifter cams.

That engine sounds really great, hope that you can keep it with mufflers.

My bigblock had a great rumble sound and my greatest concern with my LS1 conversion is to try to get the same sound from it.

What Cam spec do you have?

Great inspiration

Yeah, you're right there Jan, sorry, but for some reason I was thinking flat tappet technology, ooops!

Thanks Jan,

The cam is a Texas Speed 233/239 112 cam, you can read the specs on thier site. They also tuned my PCM for the cam. I hope to keep the rumble with mufflers as well, I think it will sound pretty good. Going with dual 2.5", X-pipe, Magnaflows and 3" tailpipes out the rear.
