the truck is really a gmc and came w leaf springs .i have tried to save money in the past by using leaf springs, but at the end of the day(in my opinion) the adjustability of the rear four link is worth the cost. bill

just wanted to say that jason talked me into the name of RS/C10 (which i like) so thats why the name is diff. ill post one of jasons drawlings that indicates where the body mods will be.the different color ink shows the changes. im waiting for my cab to come back from the sand blaster so i can start cutting up this nearly rust free cab. bill

I've done some investigating on these trucks & based on your front suspension location vs. the frame rails & the c-notch w/stock rear frame rails, I would estimate 6" @ ride height @ the C/L of the cab mounts.

My buddies truck uses the same front set-up but had to be notched 2" to achieve a ~5" ride height w/Shockwaves. His rear is step notched w/air bags so there's about 3-4" more inches of room vs. your arrangement between the frame & rear housing tubes & his yields 5" when air'd completely out.

i know , im doing a 4 in body drop but loosing 1 inch of it in my bed mounts, that puts my rockers down but the inside of my bed wont be all chopped up inside. plus the ls engines always look very low in these trucks im hoping that the body drop will help that. i will say im worried where my shifter will end up.(heightwise). you are correct on your observations ,im impressed. bill
