Pace car
I would only do stuff to the pace car that I could unbolt. You could probably trade it for a nicer convertible and be way ahead in the game and do whatever you like to it with no guilt.
12 years ago I purchased my 69 for $1500 and proceeded to restore it for a daily driver (1.5 years)and drove it(6.5 yrs) . Pulled the motor for a swap 4 years ago not planning on doing anything else and look where I ended up. My car is an x11 code car built in Norwood, but it is not an SS. High option coupe that originally had 327/power glide with factory a/c,ps,pwr drum,vinyl top and style trim. |
