So what's the new outline of the build? Drivetrain, interior, sound system, paint, ect?

I have a 355ci small block that I am going to be building here in the next few weeks with my father, transmission will probably be the turbo 350 since I have one sitting in the garage. The suspension is all Air ride technologies. I would like to get the new kit with all the self leveling gadgets, but that is up in the air right now. Of course there will be an interior all done up with audio and such, that is one of my largest passions. I have a couple sponsors lined up, but not quite sure exactly how it'll be laid out at this point in time. The original rendering was done up like so:

However, the new plan is quite different. After speaking it over with Jason, we are going to go a little more modern, once I have him do an actual rendering for me you can get a better idea, but this is the base of my plans.

I realllly liked this car, and almost purchased it before I pulled the trigger on my trailblazer ss, this is the route I am going to go. Jason can powder the lips on the wheels for me, and powder the centers black. Should look rather awesome, especially after I find out what will be going on for brakes. My intentions are to build a truck that can do great on the minitruckin' scene, but not get laughed at if I want to attend some of the street machine shows. I grew up at those shows. There might be a very small few that have seen my fathers previous car, he is my teacher:willy:

I think turning it into a great handeling machine would be awesome! You will have lots of power with that motor...or a used LS1 :unibrow:, and after the brake upgrade it would be flat out awesome!

I like the BMW too!

The plan is to two tone the blazer, but different than the two tone in the rendering. Only painting the top of the truck. I am thinking maybe a satin black to tie in the powdercoated black centers, but time will tell. I want to save up a little money to get Jason going on a rendering so I can see whether I would like it or not.:hail:

Just to get a feel for the actual low-ness of the truck, I am 6'5".

I fear that a lot of people are going to see me as "just another damn mini driver" but I am trying to fuse two of my very large passions into one. I wanted to build a 1967 chevelle when i sold my trans am, instead, I decided to go with another one of my favorites and do a mini. I am going to attempt to incorporate clean styling, great handling/performance, into the minitruckin' scene. They are taking a lot of heat lately, maybe with the help of people like Marty and myself, we can change things for the better (not saying my build even COMPARES haha, but you get my point):woot:

Welcome aboard Kenny!! Looks like you have a great platform to start with and good game plan. Some great people and talent behind over here.

I remember your Dad's Olds. Rick right? Cool car. I remember it was Pro Street along time ago then resurfaced a few years ago in Pro-Touring fashion. Car was done very nicely. No doubt you have a good teacher!! Good luck on the Blazer!

Yep that's my father, Rick. Crazy old man, can't help but love him though. He is unable to really work on his own projects now because of funds. So I told him this is our project. Hopefully he'll roll with that and really get helping me here this winter. It'll all come together, it's pretty exciting to already have a couple magazines interested in shooting it, that's for sure.

In a way yes, I had a shop do the fabrication work, dad and I are just putting it back together. What a lot of people do is "Z" the frame, just like the did on the horns on the very front of the frame. The shop decided to do it differently but in essence, that's what they did. :unibrow:

What did you do on the rear frame and how much of the tail did you have to cut off to put roll pan on.:_paranoid
