Thanks.

I wonder if it makes any difference that I just got a 67 dash for my car. ?

year to year fitment issues include some or all of these:
motor mounting pattern, wiring harness/plug differences, knob cosmetic style differences

Sounds good. We aren't going for original resto here so if it's something simple, maybe it'll be fine. I will call DSE first thing on Monday and let you know.

thanks Mike

If Flash68 doesn't take it, I will.

You have a 68 as well? So you are thinking this fits our year with little to no modification?

No, it would be for my '67 project.

I've got one of the DSE wiper setups in the '68 I've actually got on the street and it's great, with the only exception being having to reach out to the dash to change the wiper speed. Do that for 8 hours on a long trip and you'll appreciate stalk mounted wiper controls.

Ouch. Why does it require you to do that??

And maybe you know the answer to the difference behind the 67 and 68 wiper kits having different part #s??

thx

I drove from Seattle to Los Angeles in my '68 December 19-20, through some pretty heavy winter weather. The road conditions varied from dry, to slightly wet, to very wet with with cars throwing up rooster tails, to light rain, to heavy rain, to snow. All of those conditions - which often changed back and forth in a short distance - called for a different wiper speed, especially because I don't have a windshield washer installed and didn't want the windshield to streak. With a windshield washer it might not have been as big a deal, but under those conditioons I would have needed a 55 gallon windshield washer fluid reservoir.

As for the DSE kit, I just took a look at my '67 and '68. The '68 firewall hole for the wiper motor is sort of triangular with very rounded "points." The '67 firewall hole for the wiper motor is round. My guess is that the mounting plate for the '67 DSE kit is different than the '68 mounting plate.
