Sold my 85 a few years back. It was Project Red Rocker built when I worked for Truckin' Magazine. Some of you may remember it. Air Ride tech susp., 20/22 Bonspeeds, fully shaved, red with traditional flames, full custom street rod style interior. It was built by Hill's Hot Rods and was on the cover of the June 2005 issue of Truckin'.

So I have been watching this thread for a while and finally got around to digging up some photos of my own. I really like this bodystyle of this truck and there are some great ones in this thread.
This is my truck from high school and part of college. I practically spent every dime I earned on it. I had it for about 5 years and bought it as a stock '85 chevy and did all the work myself... it was my first cart (truck). Gotta love the 15's.... thats all I could afford... haha. I really wanted larger wheels though. Built 350 with ported/polished vortec heads (about 425hp) Bowtie Overdrives 700R-4 3:73 Posi Rear http://www.tdulgerian.com/webpics/truck1.JPG http://www.tdulgerian.com/webpics/truck2.JPG http://www.tdulgerian.com/webpics/truck3.JPG |
Clean truck!
That was (is) a nice truck. Nothing wrong w/15's either as long as they properly fit the vehicle they're on.
I took off the polished 18/20 TT2 combo that was on my 74 & put the old school ralleys back on. Everyone said it would be a dumb move but the same people now say (much to their own suprise) it looks just as good. It's all about the right width, back-spacing, & choice of tire sizes. |
