I would stay away from Asanti. They are like butter.

Since you are looking at the Asanti wheels, have you thought about DPE or Forgeline?

Try this link. http://www.asantiwheels.com/Forged_Wheels.php And thanks for the input on manufacturer, I do appreciate it but the choice is mostly much made already. Just finalizing the order. Any input on my wheel width choices to match the tire sizes? |
You done good on matching up the sizes of the rims and tires, buldges and heights.
The 255 / 30 / 19 on the front is 25.1 tall and has a 10.2 section on a 9" rim The 305 / 25 / 20 on the front is 26.2 tall and has a 12.1 section on a 11" rim Perfect. What I am concerned about is your front backspace. With our DSE frame projects, we use a 6.2" BS on a 10" wheel, so to maintain your proper front space, you are going to need a 5.2" BS on a 9" wheel |

I figured out why I like them so much. They are identical to the Fesler FS904 wheels I wanted to order eventually. Are Asanti's cheaper then the Feslers?

Thanks for the feedback Frank, everyone.
I hope the front offset is OK, I think I erred on in the right direction for the fronts. I can run a small spacer if needed. It was looking like I will have the room to the frame and inner fender with the 6" BS. but maybe the tires/wheels will be too sunken in the front? Its probably not too late to change the front backspace. I was working on DSEs recommendations for the front. I wanted good turning radius and just wanted to be a little cautious. I really don't know what the Asanti prices are. I'm not the direct purchaser of the wheels. I'm actually not even 100% sure what color combo is coming back. I have to give a little artistic license to the guy spending the money on the parts. I'm pretty certain the barrels will be chrome/polished. The center color is going to be black or chrome, not sure which. |
I think they will be to sunken in, but like you said you can space as needed.
I like to work with front space as much as possible to keep the outer wheel profile where it needs to be. |
