There is a guy I know here in town, that used that 454 lsx shortblock, with 6.0 truck heads and single plane intake, holley carb and it runs 9.90's in a 00 SS Camaro.

I built my own verison of that combo for my Vette and it's a killer combo as with anything its going to depend on the set up. checkout LS1 Tech there are alot of guys on there that are starting to use that motor.

mine is f/i, 630hp 615tq they make 3 models lsx454 lsx454ho lsx454ss i got the ho mated to a 6l80 ,the only option i couldnt do yet is roller rockers there coming soon. mine is a turnkey engine. when i buy an engine its the dyno sheet and torque curve i look at most.good luck on your choice. i also found the people at gm know nothing about the motor yet.

Yes. I did read that as well. Sounds like you get more horses using the carb setup though?:_paranoid
I did do a search on LS1tech.com, but there were no hits. I am a member there as well, so I will look again tonight.
