2010 Camaro = swing and a miss

A 400+HP RWD 6-speed in today's auto industry is a miss? Really? Tough crowd.

By the looks of it the new Camaros may use a Macpherson strut suspension...that would be dissapointing.

I see it has an M plate.

Not digging it at all and now the interior sucks as well. All the cool features of the concept cars are gone in the production car.

I built my '69 firebird for the sole purpose to be able to choose which one I wanted when the new one came out. I'm glad I did, because I'll be keeping it.

The new one looks nice. I'd like to see one lowered with the right rims, a few custom touches, exhaust, headers, cam, etc. and it could be a winner, but so far I find it boring...so I'll wait until I see one done the way I'd want to build it and go from there.

Overall I like the look, but where GM missed is by making it too much of a niche vehicle. I just can't see too many people being able to live with a car like that as their own car on a daily basis. I just saw one at the auto show and looking at the interior, there is zero leg room for the back seats, and ontop of that the opening for the trunk is so tiny. I'm guessing you'd be able to fit a carry on piece of luggage thru the hole at best. I don't see you being able to fit say a cooler, or something like golf clubs in it at all. From that standpoint the 4th gens made for a more legit daily driven vehicle.

IMO the car almost becomes a slightly bigger/expensive Solstice/Skyy. Not sure in this economy people have that kinda of coin to finance a toy.

It's too bad IMO. It's definetly got potential.

The '69 looks 10x meaner and nicer in my opinion.

X2...new Camaro does absolutely nothing for me.

Man its just like looking in a mirror:_paranoid ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Once again the GENERAL drops the ball. A Mustang looks like a 60's and 70's Mustang ,the Challenger, well looks like a 70 Challenger. The minute they released the Challenger someone should of sent the design team back to the drawing board ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How can anyone look at these pictures and say these cars even closely resemble a 67,68 or a 69 Camaro. Am I mistaken is this not what GM was going for? Man something got lost in translation here... Sorry guys this is just my opinion and you know what they say about opinions:yes:

If you want a 69 go buy one. The car was intended to be inspired by the first gen body style and it obviously is.

I'd say they met their goal regardless if you care for it or not.

And if you think the new challenger is a closer representation than the original than the new camaro is to a 69, I suggest you take another look.

is that an SUV or a "muscle car"?

These modern interpretations of muscle cars are just that, interpretations. Lots of people may not like it in these photos, but I promise you, within a month of people getting their hands on them, you're going to love the new camaro and change your tune...

Wheels, a drop, some minor changes, they're going to be BADASS.
